Kumawuhemaa lies about who is Eligible to become Kumawuhene

Thu, 23 Dec 2010 Source: Fosu, John

The year 2010 is hurtling to an unsuccessful end for Kumawuman, so are many saying.

But be assured that all is not lost. "Where there's a will, there's a way" and

"While there is life, there's hope". It is just that it is taking ages for the

chieftaincy disputation to get resolved but as long as the Sun continues to shine,

with day chasing out night and the vice versa, in congruous sequence, the case will

come to a successful conclusion in line with the people's expectation.

The initial hopes of Kumawu rivalling Kumasi in size, development and eminence are

in the limbo of lost dreams. This is the consequence of having visionless, selfish,

greedy and malevolent traditional leaders epitomized by the current queen to rule

the area. The rule of the supposed Ankaase royals has been very ruinous not only to

Kumawu but the entire Kumawuman. The evidence on the ground is all too vivid for

even the blind to see.

I have a Christmas message for Wurukye and the Ankaase royals who have unrelentingly

flung their weight behind the Kumawuhemaa in her deplorable endeavour or fight to

keep the Kumawu Kodua Stool as hers. All these people should note that Kumawuhemaa

is just taking them for a rough ride, using them as a springboard in her selfish

aspiration to keeping the stool as hers and hers only.

Let us consider the following two written submissions made at certain different

times by Kumawuhemaa and Abena Wurukye to the Asanteman Council. Kumawuhemaa had in

November 2007 written as follows, "In denial of paragraph 5 of the "facts and

particulars" alleged by the Petitioners the Defendants say that:

(i) There are only two royal houses who are eligible for the Kumawu Paramount Stool:

the Ankaase and the Ananangya royal houses

(ii) In about 1941 Barima Kwabena Kodua of Ananangya royal house was enstooled

Kumawuhene.

(iii) Upon his destoolment, Ohemaa Adwoa Serwaa, of Ananangya royal house, nominated

Barima Otuo Acheampong of Ankaase royal house; he was installed Kumawuhene.

Before quoting Wurukye's submission, let me please clarify or correct one or two

things here. Barima Kwabena Kodua alias Nana Seth, was enstooled in 1944.

Kumawuhemaa is therefore right to use about 1941. It was Ohemaa Afua Sarpong, Kofi

Ahenkan's mother, who enstooled Barima Otuo Acheampong but not her mother Nana Adwoa

Serwaah. I will publish the full statement issued by Kumawuhemaa in defence of her

disregard for, and denial of the Odumases/Ananangyas as royals at all. The

Petitioners as referred to above are a) Nana Sarfo Agyekum II, Aduanahene and

Abusuapanin of Kumawu Paramount Aduana Royal Family b) Nana Kwaku Damte,

Ananangyahene, Kumawu c) Opanin Nti Kwakye, Abusuapanin of Ananangya royal family of

Kumawu d) Opanin Kwame Tawiah, Abusuapanin of Odumasi Aduana royal Family, Kumawu.

The Defendants are: 1) Nana Serwaah Amponsah, queenmother of Kumawu Traditional

area, Kumawu-Ashanti 2) Nana Pepra Kodua IV, Krontihene, Kumawu Traditional Area,

Kumawu.

Abena Wurukye in her Statement to Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in the year 2009

stated as follows: "The queenmother admitted having had knowledge of the said

allegation and intimated to Your Petitioners and their family that she cannot deny

Adomako Pim Family's status as far as the Kumawu Stool affairs are concerned and

will thus accept our customary drinks relative to the nominations if we presented

same"

From the above, Abena Wurukye the "Akokohwede" has been conned out of her wisdom by

Kumawuhemaa. The Ohemaa had in 2007 stated in writing, mentioning the two royal

houses that in her warped estimation are eligible to be enstooled Kumawuhene and

Kumawuhemaa. Was Adomako Pim family one of those? No! How then should she offer to

accept customary drinks from Wurukye if both are to be believed? Have you seen how

these two ineligible royals, birds of the same feathers flocking and lying together?

Had Wurukye not read Kumawuhemaa's submitted written defence prior to allowing

herself to be financially induced to lie on oath, delaying Kumawu Chieftaincy case

for well over two years? No wonder she was found guilty, a liar as she is.

Kumawuhemaa has been found guilty by God Almighty already. I see no reason why the

Ankaase so-called royals knowing very well that they are the descendants of "Ayo"

are still stubbornly supporting Kumawuhemaa to resist God's orders. When did the

Ankaase become the true royals of Kumawu? When at all did they become part of the

Aduana clan? Are the Fulanis also Aduanas? Do they have clan groupings as done

Akans? I am only enquiring though curious to know.

May I kindly request that you dance to the tune of the following song by Nana

Tuffuor this Christmas, "Ohinta dua akyire obi nnhu wo a Onyame ahu wo. Wo sisi

Ananase a wo sisi wo ho" This is a way of carrying a message across to Kumawuhemaa.

Kumawuman will have their long awaited Omanhene from the Ananangya royal family

within a month or two no matter how far Kumawuhemaa with her Ankaase royal house

resists. I am highly annoyed at her stubborn resistance. It is a warning lesson to

you all who will have visitors blend inextricably into your families.

Is Jean-Marie Le Pen, the one time leader of the French National Front Party, an

ultra right party that hates immigrants to the core right for hating immigrants? He

summed up his hatred for immigrants in a statement, "Today an immigrant will come to

your home, eat your soup and sleep with your wife" To avoid this situation, he

wanted to chase out immigrants from France. Are the actions of the Ankaase royal

family members and Kumawuhemaa not re-enforcing the stance of Jean-Marie Le Pen

although reprehensible as it may be? The ineligible slave has taken over the

inheritance. As if Sarah knew, she asked Nana Abraham to throw out Hagar and Ishmael

to avoid future confrontations between Isaac, the promised son, and Ishmael, the

slave's son.

The following persons have a role to play in the envisioned development of

Kumawuman; Dr. Kwabena Duffour, Messrs Osei Kofi, Barima Agyarko (Edmonton- Canada),

Kwasi Adu (Last Day) + Yaw Mensah (Opoku Mensah) -USA; Kwabena Antwi - London; Yaw

Boamah - USA, Asabre Kokoowa, Oldman Buggie, Kwame Asiedu, Asare George, Alabama and

many more.

More grease to your elbows, all the progressives, and Merry Christmas to you.
