The New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana has always stood the test of time and it is highly incumbent on all members of the Danquah Busia-Dombo tradition to have this mindset going into election 2016.

Leaders of political parties are voted into power to champion the course of their respective parties and lead their parties to victory. Hon. Dan Botchwey of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) did it even in the face of limited resources.

He was able to achieve this with his team because they all started on the right footing by building up the confidence of all members with the indication that they were in position to win power for the NPP through their hard work, discipline and tactical decision making. The end result was perfect for the NPP and Ghana as a country.

When it comes to the current General Secretary and the National Chairman of the NPP who are in the persons of Mr. Kwabena Agyepong and Mr. Paul Afoko, the situation is entirely different and negative. It is about time all the party members called spade a spade before the unwanted happens.

Ever since these two individuals assumed their respective positions within the NPP, there has been thunderous unrest within the party due to their wrong moves from day one. Is this a self-fulfilling prophesy, a sheer arrogance to destruction or a tacit will to lead the party to opposition again even in the face of all the glaring opportunities for victory in election 2016? This is an honest and proactive question that every loving member of the party as well as every loving Ghanaian should be considering.

Mr. Kwabena Agyepong and Mr. Paul Afoko have been wrong from day one. It has become apparent that both Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko feel like they are above the laws of the NPP forgetting that the same delegates of the NPP who voted them into power can impeach them and put new committed individuals in office for effective manning of the operations of the NPP so as to ensure the long awaited victory of the main opposition New Patriotic Party of Ghana.

GMW (Ghana Must Work) can authoritatively state that the only hope Ghanaians have is the NPP and most especially, their presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Posterity will never forgive the NPP if it fails to win election 2016. On this note, it is very vital for members to start thinking of impeachment possibilities in line with Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko.

The process of impeachment is well enshrined in the constitution of the NPP and it is a window of opportunity for all members who would want to see the NPP come to power. The party is bigger than Mr. Kwabena Agyepong and Mr. Paul Afoko.

GMW has observed that if members of the opposition NPP do not proactively put these two officials of the party in their place, the end results could be very devastating.

A word to the wise is enough.

Long live Ghana!
