Land-guards Menace; Police Must Act Now Or Never

The Crystal Clear Lens and its hardworking staff in the media fraternity will like to unequivocally add its voice to calls by ordinary Ghanaians on the Ghana police service to be up in arms against the criminal activities of land guards in the country now and now.

We support whatever strategy the police will employ to stop these inhuman activities on innocent persons. We say, enough is enough for the land guards menace in the country.


We have been following the unfortunate incidence of these criminals in the country and we are confident that such activities if not stopped immediately will plug the entire nation into a chaotic state.


Land guards are a nuisance! Somewhat more directly, all of us as nation have experienced the illegal, wicked and sometimes inhuman activities of land guards. They always look fierce on innocent citizens who sweat to acquire their properties.


It is shameful and worrying that after all these years, the Ghana Police Service and other state security agencies are watching helplessly as these criminals, parading themselves as land guards continue to mete out their brutalities on the innocent citizens over land disputes.


In principle, the Crystal Clear Lens is in full support on the call for the police to act decisively and we don’t care much how the police would do it, but like armed robbers, the police must get rid of these wicked individuals called land guards.

These land guards operate with so much impunity in our communities and must be stopped now.


In fact, it is not a hidden fact that these land guards are recruited well-armed by some irresponsible people in our society who must be named and shamed the police if they really want to ends these criminal activities


Our position on these criminals in the country is that they are like the armed robber menace; the police should be bold and tag activities of Land guards as criminals and deal with them equally as we deal with armed robbers.


We at the Crystal Clear Lens also urges the public assist the police in fighting with these illegal, wicked, heartless and inhuman activities of land guards to the our society peaceful.
