Let the Muslims Pray! In fact, the Traditionalists should be allowed to pray as well.
A country that discarded Cultural Studies as a subject, which inculcated its culture into students for something called RME (Religious and Moral Education), should not even be debating prayers in school.
In fact, not only should the Muslims be praying in the Christian schools, but the Christians and Traditionalists should also be praying in the Islamic Institutions.
Officially, Muslims have been fasting and praying as a group in Presec-Legon for
more than 2 decades (over 20 years), and the institution hasn’t stopped being
Presbyterian.
In fact, when the Presbyterian students were skipping classes, it was in conjunction with the Muslims; when the other Christians were breaking bounds to go walk about downtown, it was with the Muslims.
When the Christians were tripping the girls’ schools from ‘ABUGISS’ to St MARY’s, the Muslims followed suit; Nor was anyone left out when young Presbyterian boys were chatting up people at ‘Inter-Co’.
The education standards in Presec-Legon did not abruptly falter because the Muslims were fasting or the Presbyterians were ‘Cabaying’ at the school farm.
In fact, Presec-Legon has gone ahead to become the winningest school in the annually held National Science and Math Quiz (NSMQ).
Nothing changed in Presby Boys’, and nothing will change anywhere else because
Muslim students started fasting and praying.
In fact, most Presecans rather have fond memories of all the gargantuan cow thighs and bull testicles enjoyed at the conclusion of the Muslim Ramadan, and the exciting meals from the Christian Confirmations/Affirmations.
Let the Muslims Pray! GYE-NYAME.
