Letter From The President: The Party People?s Assembly

Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents

I want to express my profound, heart-felt gratitude to all those who braved the mini-floods in Accra last week to attend the People?s Assembly. I believe some of you had to swim or wade through muddy waters to make it to the venue of the event. Am sorry about that but blame it on the AMA. I was surprised that the conference centre was filled to capacity and that there were so many eager people seeking an opportunity to talk to me. A few wanted to ?grill? me. But, well, it wasn?t much of a grilling session, was it? I enjoyed the gathering. Last week?s was the best People?s Assembly of my entire presidential life.

I enjoyed it because the assembly turned out to be a largely party affair.
