Letter From The President (XVII)

Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents,
Sometimes you make me feel very unpresidential. You chose me to do a lot of thinking on your behalf – i.e. to plan how you live, how much money you get in your pocket, where you sleep, what you eat and in what quantities, etc. In fact when you chose me over Egya Atta as your president you entered into an unwritten pact with me. That pact stated that you have no control over the ‘macro’ level of your life. By this I mean that you made it clear that there are certain responsibilities you cannot fulfill for yourself.
