Lockdown's negative uprisings

May God heal the world...As I fervently meditate on the world’s response to COVID-19, it strikes my heart the more when countries like Ghana and other lesser developed nations come to mind. How can we survive this...only God knows...when heavily developed nations get severely overwhelmed.

“A stitch in time saves nine”, kudos to such nations' leaders who embarked on early but strict (uncomfortable) measures to curtail the spread. Ghana – a case study:

The socioeconomic, sociology and anthropology of the Ghanaian people require a very rigorous, pragmatic, concise and humane approach in these times.

Majority of the people are vulnerable, poor, illiterate, and adrift of basic housing needs. Others are inhumane, brutal, wicked, unconcerned, and any-way-to-survive citizens...”We are naturally born bad” – looks like that with our mentality. Produce/food suppliers and sellers extorting from their own people in these hard times where we all must show love and sympathy to one another, very wicked people we are.

Two main groups of concern:

1: All currently living on a Hand-to-mouth basis, however, the largest fraction's daily livelihood depends on their daily earnings. Such persons can only afford either a two-square or one-square meal, or half (if there’s any), mostly malnourished. The scenario is even more disheartening when they have one or more Younger or Elderly dependant(s). Lots of weak or ill unemployed widows, widowers and orphans with children or siblings to care for. What happens after the first few days of lockdown? – my concern

2: Think about people we often call “Jonkeys”, the commercial vehicle loaders, porters, drug addicts e.t.c that we often see on our roads, transport stations, and 'ghettos'. The kind of stigma and characteristics we associate with such persons.

“3k)m y3ya papa”, literally, “hunger is painfully unbearable”. The possible answers given to the question asked here should be the concern of mainly the people in charge of our security – Social Security issues. After a full day of hunger at homes, residents will be forced to come out damning the lockdown directives just to find ways of surviving.

The apparent reactions from the second group of people will be forcing or breaking into people’s homes in such of food and money to survive on. Surviving from both covid-19 and unbearable hungwer.

Please, please for the sake of humanity and lives, it dawns on us to be concerned and help each other however, wherever, whenever and whatever possible. And chunkily is the duty of leaders of such persons or nations to think beyond just the lockdown for containing the spread and think about the possible social insecurity; upheaval or uprising that can happen.
