President Mahama/NDC Government Has Made Ghana A Laughing Stock In The International Community

The Diaspora branch of Critical Thinkers International(CTI) are very much worried at the constant rate of the wreck of the image of Ghana by President Mahama and his NDC-led government through some of their very shameful, lame actions and inactions which has as a result brought constant humiliations onto Ghana and Ghanaians all over the globe.

Some of these actions and inactions by the government which has brought Ghana under constant international ridicule are as follows:-

1. The numerous errors in the official brochure for the colourful Independence Day ceremony which was graced by two African Heads of State went viral on Facebook, Twitter, local and other international social media platforms.

One of the mistakes was the description of Kenyan President , Uhuru Kenyatta, as the President of the Republic of Ghana.

In addition are the many factual, typographical and grammatical errors which have been widely shared on International Social Media platforms.

2. The high rate of corruption in Ghana under the watch of President Mahama which has earned Ghana the reward of being used as a case study in a class on corruption in the University of Pennsylvania.

3. President Mahama's outburst of his missing scripts during his presentation of a speech at the 47th Ordinary session of ECOWAS.

4. The General Secretary of the NDC party, Mr Aseidu Nketia intentionally putting on women's clothes during his official visit to Germany with President Mahama, which got the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) writing about it.

5. Ghana's drop from its middle income status to an IMF bailout programme

6. The yearly flood of Accra at the same place since 2013 which eventually ended up killing over a 100 people this last year, 2015 due to the constant negligence of this government to solve the problem despite its constant promise to solve it every year after it had occurred.

7. The airlift of the Black stars' $3 millions appearance fees to them in Brazil

8. The AMERI and the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) 116 buses Rebranding deal stinking with a huge corruption without considering the value for money, resulting to the resignation of the Transport Minister, Dzifa Attivor.

The above and many other examples have all brought great humiliations to Ghanaians all over the globe and as a result getting most of them being constantly mocked at by people of other nationalities at their neighbourhoods, work places, schools etc at the respective countries they find themselves in.

Also these actions and inactions have discouraged investors from coming into the country.

The Diaspora branch of Critical Thinkers International is therefore calling on President Mahama to urgently put a stop to these avoidable shameful occurrences in the future and also do things that will help bring glory to Ghana and through that help redeem Ghana's image.

If such and similar shameful and lame actions of the President and the NDC government continues, we will be left with nothing than to call on the President Mahama to step down to salvage Ghana's local and international reputation.

Thank you

May God be praised always
