Mills NDC Government, A Bunch Of Thieves.

Mon, 2 Aug 2010 Source: Sarpong, Justice

Folks, lets get to the numbers behind the story before delving into the main 'menu'. Your socialist NDC government, "THE I CARE FOR THE COMMON FOLKS" government spent 6.2 million dollars on players and officials during the world cup tournament held in South Africa. We know there were 23 Players in the team, for mathematical purposes, let's assume there were 7 more technical members, including the coach and his assistants. Let's add ten more GFA and Political officials, that will bring the total number to 40. Let's also assume that they spent 30 days in South Africa, that means each of the 40 members spent 5,150 dollars a day, $155,000 on each member of the 40 man team, more money than a Doctor in Ghana can earn in five years.

The so called supporters, numbering 1,500 who spent not more than ten days each in South Africa accounted for 4.5 million dollars, according to our thieving officials, that is 3,000 dollars each on these NDC kubolors who could have used that kind of money as a working capital for a business. Anyway, did the NDC government send 1,500 or 1,000 supporters to South Africa, that is the question.

So if the government spent 15.3 million dollars and the expendicture on Players, Officials and supporters accounted for 10.7 nillion dollars, what happened to the 4.6 million being the ballance after you deduct 10.7 million from 15.3 million dollars? Am I supposed to assume that might be the bonuses given to the Players and officials? The Minister of Education should explain that to Ghanaians.

"Ablakwa To NDC: Who Are The Philanthropists?

Date: 21-Jun-2010

A deputy Information Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has added his voice to calls on the ruling party to disclose the identities of “philanthropists” who sponsored hundreds of soccer fans to South Africa.

The government sponsored 1,000 fans to the World Cup to cheer the Black Stars, while persons described by key persons in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as philanthropists, were reported to have sponsored about 500 more fans, who had been left stranded for days at the El-Wak Stadium."

SO WHY IS THE SAME GOVERNMENT WHICH TOLD GHANAIANS THAT IT SPONSORED 1,000 SUPPORTERS IS NOW BILLING US FOR 1,500 SUPPORTERS? AKUA DENSUAH THE RED EYE MONSTER SHOULD ANSWER THIS SIMPLE QUESTION

Ghanaians, as people, we have been taken advantage of by almost every government that has ruled our country and this NDC government is not an exception operating on the paradox philosophy-The end justitifies the means. This government has no respect for our intelligence and believes we are all 'foofoos' like their sycophantic foot(fool) soldiers.

We need to praise the stars for lifting our image in the international community but they didn't bring that much money if the government figures given as the expenses on these players and officials are anything to go by.

Overall, the government said it spent 15.3 million on this tournament, 6 million dollars on players and officials. We have a twenty three man playing squad, for generosity purposes, let me add 17 officilas to make it 40 members squad and let's say they spent 30 days in South Africa. This NDC government is telling Ghanaians that they spent 5,150 dollars a day on each of the forty members which accounted for the 6.2 million dollars Akua Densua the red eye monster is telling us.. THIS IS A PLAIN LIE AND SOMEBODY IS GOING TO ACCOUNT FOR THIS STEALING IN FUTURE.

The NDC government told us they sponsored only 1000 fans and if you all remember the stranded fans at El-Wak stadium, didn't the government say the 500 fans were airlifted to South Africa by some Philantropists? So how come the government is now saying it spent money on these fans?

Most of these 1500 fans are jobless korborlors who could have used the 3,000 dollars spent on each one of them in South Africa to engage in some form of a trade to care for their families. Only stupid Ghana government spent money to send fans to South Africa, none of the rich countries, USA, Germany, England nor poor countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon or Ivory Coast sent supporters by their various governments paying for their upkeep,Ghana, what a country being ruled by fools.

How this government can 'stick' us with a bill covering 1,500 supporters when we were made to believe the government sponsored only 1,000 supporters is beyond me. If anybody thinks I am fibbing about what the government told us a couple of months ago, this is the evidence:

Afriyie Ankrah, the deputy minister of local government and former Deputy General Secretary of the ruling NDC expressed his disappointment at the manner in which government decided to slash the figure down from 2,000 to 1,000 thereby denying most supporters who had prepared for the trip the chance of cheering on the Black Stars in South Africa.

The government told Ghanaians that, due to financial restraints, the government can only send 1,000 supporters to South Africa when there were more than 500 of the NDC foot soldiers masquerading as supporters were stranded at the El-Wak stadium in Accra. With the so called supporters threatening mayhem on NDC officials, Atta Mills and his team "C" ministers told Ghanaians that, they will airlift those supporters by using NDC money and some Philantropists from NDC paying the way for the extra five hundred suppoters. Deputy Minister of Local Government Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, who was the main architect behind the initiative, even told Ghanaians that, he has contributed towards the sponsorship of these fans t o South Africa.“for all you know, me too I contributed maybe some GH¢500 or GH¢1,000.”

This is what was reported on June 18th 2010 concerning the extra five hundred supporters this government wants to dupe Ghanaians for and pocket the money since Agya Atta the President has closed his eyes to everything that is going on in Ghana.

" NDC Vomits $1.5m For Supporters Of Black Stars To S.A, the supporters, mostly National Democratic Congress (NDC) foot-soldiers, were ferried to the Zenith College area at the back of the Trade Fair at La, where the supporters were screened by NDC officials including the party’s Women’s Organizer, Anita De Souza.

Mr Afriyie Ankra would not disclose the number of people who raised the money involved, neither would he tell how much it cost to put everything together."

However, a source close to the corridors of power at the castle said an individual who was at the Zenith College for the screening coughed out a staggering $1.5million to support the airlifting of the supporters.

"According to DAILY GUIDE sources, Kobby Woyome, Member of Parliament for South Tongu and his brother, Alfred Woyome of the Office of the President, are said to have contributed to the funding of airlifting the fans to South Africa. When contacted on his mobile phone yesterday, the MP confirmed to DAILY GUIDE that they were “supporting the government as private individuals” to airlift the stranded fans to South Africa."

So if private individuals sponsored these supporters to South Africa, why is the government bilking us for the same expenses again as reported on 7/30/2010?

"Accra, July 30, GNA - The Government of Ghana spent close to 15 million dollars on Ghana's participation in the just ended 2010 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup in South Africa. The amount was spent on the senior national team, the Black Stars, officials and the 1,500 supporters, sponsored by the government to witness the event. The government spent 4.5 million dollars to sponsor the 1500 Ghanaian supporters that witnessed the event."

Parliament needs to drag the Sports Minister to Parliament and question her under oath why the inconsistencies, did the government sponsor 1,500 supporters 0r 1,000 supporters and if it was 1,500 supporters, then why did the government lie to the citizens about the 500 supporters expenses as having been paid by the NDC and some Philantropists?

Even Ras Mubarack, an NDC activist also lambasted the government for flying “disgruntled” party foot-soldiers to South Africa under the pretext of sending soccer fans there. In an article posted on the net, Mubarak thinks the purpose is to score political points.

This government lies so much, it is now an act that is thought to every NDC official as a basic political philosophy of this Party.
