Even though President Mills said that he is a Father for all by allowing NPP appointees to remain at their workplaces, he should be extra careful in dealing with them because that party is full of treacherous men and women who are always on the move to undermine and destroy ruling governments when their party – the NPP is in opposition. It will be recalled that Ex-Prez. Kufuor ordered all known and perceived members of the NDC in 2001 to proceed on leave, and when he was questioned by the media, he replied that they were being paid and will soon be recalled back to work, however they remained on leave until Kufuor left office after his party lost the 2008 general elections. Do you see how vicious and wicked Kufour can be?
The NDC is heir to June 4 which was based on Probity and Accountability, so are some people now saying that the NDC must be dissolved and June 4 forgotten just to forget about the Rawlings forever? It is capital No, I repeat capital No. Precious and sufficient time are being wasted on how to handle Rawlings and make him irrelevant which is impossible. The President and his top NDC party leadership must burry all the differences and settle down into a decent and friendly relationship in order to achieve the Better Ghana Agenda and plan for the political battle ahead in the 2012 general elections.
However, June 4 will forever remain a day similar to the Israelites moved out of Egypt after so many years of suffering under King Pharaoh because Ghanaians had terribly been terrible oppressed by the then Military Juntas of Acheampong and Akuffo who were filling their pockets left and right together with their girl friends without the least regard for the suffering masses. The nation’s economy in 1977 was in a very serous mess to the extent that every one had nothing to do except to look up to God to intervene, and God in his wisdom rightly intervened through Jerry Rawlings that year.
Senior Citizens must therefore tell the true story in full to the younger generations who were not born before June 4, and during June 4 and after. How on earth can we ever forget such a memorable event, Madam Hanna Tetteh and Kwesi Pratt Jnr. we beg to differ – Alabraka ! you have stirred the hornet’s nest and the bees would fly, you have rather bitten more than you can chew. The NPP Presidential Candidate see the 2012 election as a Do or Die affair as we prepare to retire Nana Akuffo Addo from politics without ANY RUN-OFF. Can we do that on a divided front? It is not possible. To the leading membes, the election is going to be WAR, either conventional or orthodox. It is this desperation that is forcing the party’s propaganda machinery behave like a drowning man who will even grab a snake in order to save his life. Therefore, any trivial matter that occurs in the body politics is quickly picked up by the party and blown out of proportion. Why should Prof. Frimpong Boateng be retired from Korle – Bu at the age of 62 years and the opposition blow it in their papers that he was sacked? Did Kufuor not sack thousands of NDC members upon becoming President by telling them to proceed on leave never to return and their ages ranged between 30 years and 42 years in 2001?
Infact these treacherous NPP members are lucky to have Professor Mills as the sitting President who is so God fearing that he does not want to remove a single hair of his political opponent otherwise the Law of Kharma would have worked perfectly. They sought to undermine Government over the $3billion Chinese loan by refusing to vote in order to destroy the credibility of the Government but failed. The NPP policy of making Ghana ungovernable is in full glare because with the introduction of the Bio-metric register, they can never rig the 2012 elections in their strong holds and would have to remain in opposition until 2017 as predicted by the President who will hand over to another NDC President and the NPP remain in opposition till 2020 and beyond. They hate to hear this, if Nana Akuffo Addo reads this article he will smoke his head off every morning with huge smoke around him because he always wants to GO HIGH – They sued the EC and host, so the NDC must put its house in order, unite the party reconcile with Jerry Rawlings and his wife to enable us give NPP a one touch victory in unity – period.
President Mills must win in 2012, because he is the first President from the Minority Fante tribe to become Head of State therefore, uniting with the Founder of the party will never be so difficult. In your attempt to please everybody, you end up pleasing nobody, so I always write to provoke debate and not to please any body ever since I started writing in 1984 when reactionary forces started condemning the erstwhile PNDC. If you write to condemn President Mills or his Vice, Jerry Rawlings and his wife, you must be fully prepared to get a powerful rejoinder from this writer no matter what.
We have journalists who are enemies of our infant democracy. I am being BRUTALLY FRANK because the political Agenda which is being pursued by the NPP and their bias media houses is an affront to democracy. You see, Foot Soldiers would prefer to be taught how to fish rather than be given fish and the NDC has started doing just that which is not only GOOD, but EXCELLENT and should be sustained to ensure that the party is worth dying for – why should people get up all of a sudden to destroy the NDC and turn it into CPP.
