NPP are Panicking

Mon, 24 Sep 2012 Source: Adofo, Rockson

"The NPP are panicking, shaking like a leaf come under the terrible harmattan whirlwind. The creation of additional forty-five Constituencies by Dr. Afari-Gyan has sent a cold chill down their brittle spine", said a staunch NDC member friend of mine.

In his warped parochial thinking, he was making a mockery of me for expressing an unflinching well-founded support for the NPP and Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, preferably addressed by me as "Obuggie". In applying my intellectual astuteness, I can conclude that NDC as a party and government are taking Ghanaians for nincompoops. If not, how would they be jubilating at the shameful lastminute.com ploy by Dr. Afari Gyan to rig the election in their favour, as deplorably incompetent, corrupt and visionless as they are?

Dr. Afari Gyan intentionally carved out most of the doubtfully created Constituencies to favour the NDC. Anyone can throw a challenge and I will prove my case. On what basis did he carve out the Drobonso Afram North or South Constituency from the Kumawu Constituency? Is it because the late President Mills ordered the Minister of Local Government to make Drobonso area a district? What is the basis on which Dr. Afari-Gyan, the Electoral Commission Chairman, created the new Constituencies? Is it how big the landmass or how large the population density was? He has a hidden agenda that is immensely fictitious.

The NPP are crying because the septuagenarian Electoral Commissioner wants to plunge Ghana and her economy into chaos before old age drags him into his grave. It is completely an aberration, the intransigent conduct of Dr. Afari-Gyan. The time is too close for the opposition parties to organise themselves for effective campaigning. Having connived and condoned with the NDC, he did not only give them heads-up but also, has assisted them to elect their parliamentary candidates for the new constituencies way ahead of their creation. I know some NDC parliamentary aspirants that have been on the ground campaigning in the about-to-be-created constituencies for almost one year now. Ask yourself how that is possible.

Yes, as an NPP faithful I am panicking because the majority of Ghanaians have been crying for a change in government but the NDC and Kwadwo Afari-Gyan want to inflict a broad daylight robbery on us. Yes, I am weeping because Ghanaians can no longer cope with another four-year term of NDC corruption, lawlessness, selective justice, utter thievery and visionless. Yes, I am wailing because majority of Ghanaians can no longer be at ease with NDC teaming up with local and international swindlers to dupe Ghana. Yes, I am crying because I feel pity for my people having to accommodate the "can't do" NDC for the next four years through the rigging of the upcoming elections, if indeed Kwadwo Afari-Gyan is helping them to.

How safe is the economy of Ghana in the hands of NDC where her Ministers vow in public to support and defend crooks aimed at fleecing Ghana in what constitutes complete robbery? Do not overlook the ridiculous payment of judgment debts to questionable individuals and companies all in a ploy by the NDC to enrich their people and themselves. I will cry everyday that NDC remains in power plotting against a section or a particular tribe of people in Ghana.

I call on all Ghanaians except the die-hard crooks in the NDC, to vote NPP and Nana Akuffo-Addo to power on December 7, 2012. We should not allow party activism or fanaticism to blind us to vote the NDC. Whoever votes the NDC except the crooks who are living in opulence at the expensive of the majority of Ghanaians, votes to spell his or her own doom. The only way you can better your lives, I mean the majority that are currently suffering, is to vote OUT the NDC by voting IN the NPP and Nana Akuffo-Addo.

Shameless, ignorant and wicked as the NDC serial radio phone-in callers are, they are still pestering unsuspecting Ghanaians with their propaganda to vote NDC. I will advise every individual to take into account the unprecedented official corruption in perpetration by the NDC that is laterally killing the economy of Ghana. If you are not involved benefiting as Afari-Gyan is, then please help me kick out the NDC come December 7, 2012. Do not be deceived by the NDC anymore. Even the physically blind, deaf and maimed (physically challenged persons), do see, hear and smell the devastating corruption dripping off the hands of the NDC.

I am stopping to prepare to go and meet Hon. Kennedy Agyapong tonight at Dominion Centre, 9 Broadway High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6DS to hear his inspiring message on how to unseat the notorious NDC party from power.

Finally, I advise the NPP and all concerned Ghanaians not to sit on their backside wringing their hands in frustration. We should get up; go out to where the votes are. We should carry "Obuggie's" good tidings to the people both in the cities and in the rural areas where the NDC have gone ahead of us poisoning the minds of the people about the NPP. God willing, NPP will win the elections to put to perpetual shame Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, the conniver and the enemy of Ghana.
