Be it known to all those who mean good for Ghana that for every unique problem, there is a unique solution. Yes, it takes any reasonable person who loves Ghana and aspires to see a better caring government in place to better the living standards of the majority of Ghanaians if not all Ghanaians, to query the loyalty of those NPP MPs who lost the party primaries election but have chosen to go independent at the eleventh hour.
I have read that about twenty NPP stalwarts including incumbent MPs who lost their attempts to represent the party as her parliamentary candidates for election 2016 have filed their representation forms with the Electoral Commission as Independent candidates to contest the upcoming elections in the very constituencies they lost the party’s primaries election to represent the constituents on the ticket of NPP.
What is shocking is that none of them ever tipped off, or confided in, anyone, about their hidden plan to go independent come the closing day of filing one’s application to contest election 2016 with the Electoral Commission. However, this is exactly what these sly old selfish devils did, a bolt from the blue.
Since there is a solution to every problem under the Sun, the moon and the stars, no matter how intricate the problem is, so shall I entreat all well-meaning Ghanaians, especially those from the NPP fraternity, not to lose any sleep over the news of some NPP MPs and stalwarts going independent during election 2016.
The solution to the problem they have intentionally but maliciously created in the hope of scuppering NPP and Nana Akufo Addo’s chances of winning the upcoming election is simple.
All those who support NPP and Nana Akufo Addo to win the election to help rescue Ghana and Ghanaians from the economic precipice they are dangerously dangling before they are plunged into the bottomless dark economic abyss, are to go out to campaign and explain why people should vote in their large numbers for officially-certified NPP parliamentary candidates and Nana Akufo Addo.
Any true NPP member’s vote as well as the votes from all those wishing for a change in government that goes to the independent candidates is a lost vote that indirectly adds up to the votes for NDC and President Mahama hence enhancing their chances of winning election 2016.
If President Mahama and NDC win the election, Ghanaians will suffer worse economic situation resulting from not only the cluelessness of President Mahama mismanaging the country but also, his entrenched corrupt and nepotistic practices.
Are all those NPP members going independent of which the incumbent Bantama Constituency’s MP, Henry Kwabena Kokofu, stands out conspicuously, not being selfish and are probably sponsored by NDC to cause the defeat of NPP and Nana Akufo Addo in election 2016?
Why did they not tell anyone that they would go independent after they had probably lost the party’s primaries elections held in 2015 to elect the party’s parliamentary candidates for election 2016? Why did they come out to tell the nation after they had filed their forms as independents and a day after the official closure of filing candidature application forms with the Electoral Commission?
From the above, was their action not evil or does it not portend evil? Why could they not learn to accept defeat but do what they did and secretly of course? Anyway, let all the good people go out there with the good and convincing messages from the camp of Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP, the only solution to the problem the selfish individuals under discussion have caused.
Do not see them as enemies but only as people who are directly or indirectly helping the NDC and President Mahama to win election 2016. By their selfish aspirations, walking with their stomach and taking some people for fools, they are indeed consciously or unconsciously working for, or in favour of, the NDC and President Mahama.
No matter what, the blowing wind of change shall carry Nana Akufo Addo to the presidency so we have to work our hardest to increase the intensity of the wind to garner him more than enough winning votes.
God willing, our positive wishes for NPP and Nana Akufo Addo shall come to pass. Amen
