Nana Akuffo Addo Should Have Been Arrested And Jailed In December, 1996

On December 7, 1996, the then New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate, Nana Akuffo Addo who contested the 1996 Parliamentary Elections at the Akyem Abuakwa Constituency was reported in the media to have pulled a pistol and fired several warning shots at a polling station because he claimed the polling station officer was delaying in counting and announcing the results of the polls.

Nana Akuffo Addo contested against the then National Democratic Congress (NDC)/EGLE Parliamentary Candidate, Owiraku Amofa.

It took the courage of the security personnel around at that time to protect and escort the Returning Officer to convey the ballot boxes to the constituency electoral centre before the votes were finally counted, and he was even declared the winner.

What made the situation more precarious was that Nana Akuffo Adoo was so charged that he fired more shots into the van which was carrying the polling officers and security personnel. It was by divine intervention that no one was injured. Nana Akuffo Addo was lucky to have gone scot free without being arrested and charged offences such as, offensive conduct, doing an act with intent to disturb the public peace, unlawful discharge of firearm, and attempted murder, among others.

Such a person wants to be a President of Ghana. Tofiakwa! Ghanaians must know the kind of person he is. Anyone who wants to know more about the incident mentioned above should just go to the media archives and read electoral stories reported in December, 1996.

At the appropriate time we shall publish the full story as reported in the media in December, 1996 for every Ghanaian to see. We are just lacing our boots at the touchline waiting patiently for the December, 2012 general elections campaign to gather momentum and come out with more stories about the uncouth behaviour of the kapwepwe Akuffo Addo who wants to become the President of our dear country, Ghana.

Ghanaians cannot be ensured of proper security if the President is ill-mannered, quick-tempered and pulls pistol or AK 47 and fires warning shots at the KUFOUR JUBILEE HOUSE or ATTA MILLS FLAGSTAFF HOUSE. There is the possibility that stray bullets will kill people around. By the way, when is Akuffo Addo going to hold press conference to address the allegation that he is a narcotic drug addict? He must come clean before Ghanaians can decide to retire him from active politics after he has been defeated again in the Presidential election on December 7, 2012.

Stay tuned for more.
