Nana Akufo Addo Crosses The First Hurdle!

Sat, 6 Sep 2014 Source: Adofo, Rockson

Praise be to God for making it possible for Nana Akufo Addo to emerge the ultimate victor in the NPP Super Delegate’s Congress held on Sunday, 31st August 2014. I thank God on behalf of Nana Akufo Addo, the entire NPP grand family, all discerning Ghanaians and all the suffering poor Ghanaian masses clamouring for a change in government from NDC to NPP. Without God, Nana could not have emerged the leading victor.

I congratulate Nana Akufo Addo on his overwhelming success in the Super Delegate’s Congress intended to slim the number of the NPP flagbearer contestants from seven to five. All those who voted for him, prayed for him in this trying period, and continue to supplicate God to shower his blessings upon him through to becoming the president of Ghana, are all remembered in my appreciation. I say thank you to them.

I shall seize this opportunity to advise all Ghanaians, especially the NPP leadership and family, to desist from suggesting to, or pressuring, those contesting for the NPP flagbearership, but performed abysmally at the Super Delegate’s Congress, to pull out. We should leave them alone; be left to their own conscience to decide the way forward in their aspiration to lead the party into 2016 election.

Out of their own volition as informed by common sense, depending on their poor performance at the elimination election held on Sunday, they should decide themselves either to pull out to give Nana Akufo Addo the nod, or to continue with the race until 18 October 2014. We should not set any precedent where after each Super Delegate’s Conference, people may be requesting, or dissuading, those deemed bound-to-lose to pull out of the race.

For convenience sake, and to prevent wastage of money and time, yes, they should be advised to do what common sense requires of a rational being in such hopeless situations but let us not discourage them from staying in the race if the chose to. We have to allow the party’s rules to take priority over our individual wishes. However, contestants must always be guided by realism.

For all that I know and believe is, Nana Akufo Addo is God’s favourite to win all the elections to become the President of Ghana come 2016. No amount of wanton destruction, plots and election riggings in favour of any of his opponents shall derail what God has purposed for him and Ghanaians.

Once more, I say thank you to God and congratulations to Nana Akufo Addo and all Ghanaians supporting him. To the NPP and Ghanaians, in the view of Nana Akufo Addo, there is no victor and no vanquished. It is all a win to all NPP members and Ghanaians with the contestants inclusive.
