Oh! Oh! mother Ghana what a shame. I bow my face in my hands with

shame to weep to see the world making fun of Ghanaians.

On the 6th of March, 2016 was Ghana's 59th independence day which

dignitaries like Kenya's President and other people of good standing

were invited to make the day remarkable.

Notwithstanding that Ex.H.E Jerry John Rawlings, the first lady Her

Excellence Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings , Lordina Mahama ,Mrs Atta

Mills , H.E John Agyekum Kuffour and other honourable members came to

make the day memorable.

My mind serves me right to say I was very glad to see the flag of

Ghana been lifted high above all individual interest. During that

remarkable day an incident happened which I was very ashamed to be a

Ghanaian. In our local planning towards weddings, funerals and naming

ceremony , People do make program outline that are shared among the

guests.

During the just ended 59th independence day celebration, grammatical

errors, typing mistakes, non factual issues and things below the belt

were found in the independence Anniversary brochure. Glancing through

the content carefully, words such as COAT OF ARMS was intentionally spelt as COAT OF ARM. The arms which was adopted on March 4, 1957 that bounds the sovereignty of this nation was look down upon . It was pathetic to read "Ghana is an Island" in the anniversary brochure and "Ghana is strategically positioned on the equator making her the center of the globe". A J.H.S 1 student who is preparing to write B.E.C.E in the future will not make such a comic statement.

During the administration of H.E Kuffour Ghana was declared as a middle income

state by World Bank but because of some people selfish interest they

decide to tarnish the name of Ghana by stating Ghana is now

recognized as a low income state. Oh! Mother Ghana what a pity.

I must categorically say if a common brochure cannot be printed with

good spellings, good grammatical expression or factual issues then how

more can the NDC government led by H.E Mahama draft a strategy to

control the devaluation of the cedi, how can the current

administration draft plans to enable the growth of agriculture,

education, infrastructures and good security systems.

If a whole Ministry of Communication couldn't detect these mistakes

how more can they be reliable for any information.

Honourable Julius Debrah, please you the chief of staff and per the

constitution you have the right to terminate the appointment of a

public administrator. Please all those civil servants that acted in

bad faith and demonstrated poor managerial skill should be shown the

exict way.

As luke 13:34 said " O Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and

stones those who are sent to her; how often I wanted to gather your

children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings but you

were not willing.

Oh Ghana! the one who kills the dreams of the youth and stone the

growth of this nation is this current government.

This draws my attention to the fact that ,we the people of this

country especially we the youth must rise for change in the coming

elections. NDC government should be voted out for the future of this

country.
