Open Letter to Asanteman Council

Dear Asanteman Chiefs,

I have the obligation as a dynamic, dedicated, sincere and honest person of Asante extraction, resolutely determined to be of service to humanity, especially to Ghanaians in general, and Kumawuman citizens in particular, to write this open letter to you.

I am a proud son of the Kumawu/Asiampa soil. You are clearly aware of how I have for the past few years, following the demise of Barimah Asumadu Sakyi II, the Omanhene of Kumawu, taken on both Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Kumawuhemaa Abenaa Serwaah Amponsah. It is all about their deliberate failure to tell the truth with regard to the seeming never ending Kumawu stool dispute.

Both the mentioned individuals have a mischievous agenda against the poor, but innocent Kumawuman citizens. They have colluded to exploit the wealth of Kumawuman, living ostentatious lives at the expense of the suffering masses that are deprived of potable water, public toilets and other basic essential developments. These masses are left to the exposure of periodic, but very tormenting cholera and typhoid fever outbreaks, the results of cumulative poor environmental sanitation.

The limited resources of Kumawuman that could be geared towards developing the area to an extent, helping to rid the environment of the named killer diseases, are rather earmarked to be looted and shared by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Kumawuhemaa Serwaah Amponsah and other faceless individuals within Asanteman.

My mission, as directed by God Almighty, is to stop these callous, short-sighted and pure crooks from realising their evil intentions hence taking them to task, and to the cleaners as you have seen and heard me do on air and on the internet.

I know most of you have had formal education with higher degrees in various disciplines. However, ask yourselves if you are not a bunch of complete "educated illiterates", lacking intelligence and wisdom? Why do I say this, you may be curious to know? I shall direct you to YouTube on the internet, to familiarise yourselves with a video posted under the heading, "Asantehene involves in corruption". You will see how all of you present disgraced yourselves, exhibiting your corrupt nature, or your total ignorance of written conventions on stool disputes and their adjudications.

All of you could be seen to acknowledge the occurrence of bribery effected by Kumawuhemaa with intention to induce Kumawu kingmakers (Kontri, Akwamu, Gyaase and Nifa), to elect her chosen candidate (Dr Yaw Sarfo) as Kumawuhene-elect. You were all in your individual submissions condemning the act yet, you all agreed in unison that what Kumawuhemaa did was right and that Yaw Sarfo should be declared Kumawuhene-elect before your Council. This is the instance you lost my respect for you. How could you behave that irresponsibly, without taking note of the fact that bribery is not entertained during the election and enstoolment of chiefs? For your attention, Kumawuhemaa Serwaah Amponsah with her Ankaase family is without any matrilineal lineage to Barimah Tweneboah Koduah I, the originator of the Kumawu Koduah Stool as contrary expressed by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Having said this, it is in your best interest to learn that Asantehene is never mandated by any publicly or secretly known or unknown traditional, customary or Constitutional law to force any candidate of his choice on Kumawuman as their paramount chief (Omanhene). He has absolutely NO right to interfere in Kumawu chieftaincy affairs. Barimah Tweneboah Koduah I was of same traditional calibre as Otumfuo Osei Tutu I. If it was not so, Okomfo Anokye wouldn't decide between Kwamang (now Kumase) and Apemso (now Kumawu) when looking for a capital town for the Asante Confederacy through the planting of two Kum trees, one in Kwamang and the other in Apemso.

If you will mind reading my extensive publications on the current Kumawu stool disputes, you will see that Asantehene is only a Ceremonial Head within the Asanteman Council. This came about following the capture and deportation of Nana Agyemang Prempeh I by the British Colonial government in 1896 to Sierra Leone and then to Seychelles.

The Confederacy was dissolved by the British at the capture of Nana Agyemang Prempeh I. Even though he was repatriated in 1924 to Kumase (Gold Coast) as a private citizen, later to be restored as Kumasehene. The Asante Confederacy was only restored in 1935 upon instituted stringent laws barring any Kumasehene from extending their influence over lands and people of other Divisions. They were also disbanded from taking money from those outside the Kumase Division.

Why have you allowed Asantehene Osei Tutu II, in private life as Kwaku Duah, a known person of dubious character during his hustling life abroad (Canada and the UK), to exercise despotic rule over you as the Asante Overlord, stealing lands to sell from the other vulnerable Divisions?

You ignorantly pamper him. You kowtow and prostrate to him saying, he created Asanteman and that Asanteman belongs to him. Subsequently, you encourage, rather than discouraging him from doing whatever he likes when he likes, in Asanteman. This is outrageous. You had better learn your history properly.

Being so naive, believing his bullshitting all of the time, you have allowed him to continue to act roguishly instead of shedding his wayward life led many years ago abroad that has seen him probably placed on a "wanted persons list" in Canada.

For your further information, no Asantehene since the very inception of the formation of the Asante Confederacy over 300 years ago, with its dissolution in 1896 and restoration in 1935, has been given the mandate to interfere in Kumawu chieftaincy disputes or affairs, let alone, imposing someone of their choice on Kumawu as her Omanhene as contrary done by this current Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He will never be allowed to achieve his ill-intent, no matter how far he colludes with the Ashanti Regional Police Commander Kofi Boakye to intimidate Kumawuman people into submission.

You are to be blamed for all the misbehaviour by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. You should be advising him, warning him about the repercussions and the ripple effect of his untoward greedy quests and aspirations, on the entire Asanteman Council. You have failed in your duty to Asanteman, by hanging around silently all the while that he implements his swindling tactics on the other divisions.

Now that Kumawu is threatening to pull out of Asanteman, he has rushed to display the restored Golden Stool in public on Saturday 31 January 2015, alleging he is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the restoration of the Asante Confederacy. Until you advise him to change his bad, despotic and thieving manners, all his "last minute. Com" attempts of intimidations, curses and warnings won't wash.

Would you mind telling your boss that the newly popularly installed Kumawuhene, Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V, is not only the masses' choice but also, a true royal from the matrilineal lineage of Barimah Tweneboah Koduah I, the originator of the Kumawu Koduah Stool. Additionally, he is the Chosen One from God Almighty to liberate Kumawuman from their sufferings under the hands of that aimless Kumawuhemaa Serwaah Amponsah and her myopic cohorts.

He who dares attack, or works against Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V and his closest allies, will encounter the wrath of God. The person will either fall seriously ill or die, according as purposed by God. God will not tolerate any further nonsense from whomever that may attempt to arrogate God's powers to themselves or prove God wrong. He will not share his glory with anyone either. Therefore, Asantehene, Asanteman paramount chiefs with their sub-chiefs must take note of it.

Anyone who doubts what I have just said may take God to a contest by continuing to thwart His plans for Kumawuman through His chosen servant, Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V. Whoever does that will within the next few weeks or months smell pepper, a figurative way of saying, the person will face the fiery anger of God.

You, the Amanhene of Asanteman with the Kumasi sub-chiefs inclusive, are blameable for the excesses by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. You should have clipped his wings long ago. You have failed in your duty to Asanteman by allowing the despicable actions by him to bring disgrace upon the Ashantis. He is the most disgraced and insulted Asantehene in the history of Asante chieftaincy institution. Why is it so? Why should you allow him to drag the good name of the Ashanti tribe in the mud?

You lot are as bad as him. You are either equally corrupt as him, or are all cowards, as could be seen in the mentioned video on YouTube.

You are to stay completely away from Kumawu chieftaincy disputes. Dr Yaw Sarfo, that puppet or dummy you shamefully assisted your boss to impose on Kumawu as their paramount chief has been rejected by the masses. He has no support in Kumawuman. He will soon be shown the exit. Not even Asantehene's errand boy (RCOP Kofi Boakye) in exercising his lawless and unprofessional dispatches of heavily armed police personnel in armour cars to Kumawu will be enough to intimidate the people to renege on their support for Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V.

Are you conversant with instances of sitting Asantehenes being forced to abdicate? What are the circumstances leading to such actions being taken against them? This is a home work for you to do. However, bear in mind that Asantehene can be dethroned when his subjects or the other Amanhene find him to behaving out of tradition or irresponsibly. Otumfuo Nana Kusi Oboadum 1750 1764 (Forced to abdicate). Osei Kwame Panyin - 1777 to 1803 (Forced to abdicate). Otumfuo Nana Kofi Karikari - 28 May 1867 to 26 October 1874 (Forced to abdicate) and Otumfuo Nana Mensa Bonsu (also forced to abdicate).

Next time around, please behave as wise men with demonstrable integrity, but like you are seen doing in the YouTube video.
