Former Asante Kotoko chairman Opoku Nti has backed newly appointed chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei to thrive in the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
Dr. Kyei was handed the Kotoko top job last month by life patron Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.
The business mogul comes in for Opoku Nti whose mandate ended after the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season.
“I hope they do well in the coming season, as you can see the players have been putting in their base and with the support by the fans I know they will do well.
“Is not going to be easy because all the other teams are also very eager to do well, but I know Kotoko will excel.”
Kotoko who last won the Ghana Premier League two years ago under the tutelage of Opoku Nti, will be hoping to return to glory days under new chairman Dr. Kyei when the upcoming season unfolds.
