Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah An "Opportunist"?

Sat, 31 Aug 2013 Source: Adam, Prince D. I.

I watched with great sadness the submission on News File by Ayikoi Otoo accusing Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of introducing smock (locally made attire) "everywhere" as he put it whiles at that time his forebears (UGCC) were with suits. What also shocked me was when he accused Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of rushing to attain independence when we were not ready.

In fact I nearly throw out for such words coming out of a man who wanted to be a law maker and a representative in the Republic of Ghana august parliament. Thank God he failed miserably in his own backyard. Indeed I was not the only person but Kweku Baako who is a regular panelist on the programme and a well known NPP sympathizer who nearly choke with such words coming out of a man who suppose to know better. He did not stop there he went further to use word like Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah being an "opportunist".

I wonder who suppose to bear the word opportunist if not Ayikoi Otoo. If Kwame Nkrumah had not struggled and campaigned for independent NOW mantra, would you have sat there spewing this garbage.

These are some of the people who favored colonial masters to the detriment of mother Ghana. I don't want to duel much on what some of these men did to Mother Ghana for their own selfish gains.

Ayikoi Otoo who is Ga suppose to be proud that Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah together with the rest of the BIG SIX used smocks in the declaration of our independence instead of suits as he puts it. No wonder he did not put on the Homowo cloth during the festival but rather chose his suit.

Again this is a man who wanted to represent the Ga people in parliament, one need not to be a rocket scientist to know that he would have voted against locally manufactured goods, so as to bring in his pay masters (colonial masters) materials into the country. President Rawlings, President Kuffour, the late President Mills, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo all put on SMOCKS and other locally made attires so if you wouldn't put on one let us be. Ayikoi Otoo needs to be told that whether he likes it or not SMOCK likewise KENTE and other locally manufactured attires has come to stay so he should get it into his discriminatory skin. I believe he is the likes who opposes Osagyefo when he was putting up Akosombo Dam and other big developmental projects in Ghana which we as Ghanaians now depend on.

We, the Ghanaian people should pray for Mother Ghana in order not to permit such person´s to rule this great country of ours. Lord have mercy. I shall return.

God bless our homeland Ghana!!! Long live Ghana!!!
