Philanthropists to tackle the Enemies of Kumawuman.

Following on from my published request for funds intended for the implementation of some speedy action plans to redeem Kumawuman from economic stalemate, development stagnation or retrogression, I am obliged to come out to impress the urgency of the request upon the would-be donors. As said in my preceding published article, I have just returned from a mission to Ghana to conduct thorough investigations into the dire problems confronting Kumawuman and especially, Kumawu, the unbefitting District Capital of the Kumawu Sekyere Afram Plains District. Kumawu lacks the basic essential infrastructure to merit the status of a modern day District Capital. I am not going to delve into the basis of my assertion why Kumawu falls short of a District Capital. That will be a topic in its own should I decide to treat it but it will heavily be based on its status quo as seen by all discerning sympathisers of Kumawu.

I am appealing for funds to help put a stop to further infliction of daylight robbery on Kumawuman. The funds if raised as intended will also help curtail or end the senseless sale of Kumawuman lands and the callous exploitation of the people and the wealth of Kumawuman by some greedy, selfish individuals.

There are three identified principal enemies of Kumawuman as I write. These people are hell-bent to ensure Kumawuman never gets clothed in sparkling essential development any sooner. They would rather prefer to sell the entire Kumawuman for a pittance to pocket the money. This is how selfish, short-sighted, insatiably greedy and hardhearted they are. Who are these three individuals, one may eagerly want know? They are the sitting "sikadicious" but quite myopic Kumawuhemaa, the descendant of "Ayo". Kumawuhemaa completely unaware of her origins and how dubiously her forebears gained access to the Kumawu paramountcy, has become nonchalant about the welfare of Kumawuman and the people therein. She is depleting the wealth of Kumawuman through illegal sales of lands and stool properties, and allowing people who otherwise have no say in the affairs of Kumawuman to rather dominate and decide the direction of Kumawuman all for bad reasons. Her forebear, Yaw Dabo, gained access to the Kumawu paramount stool by stealth in connivance with his then brother-in-law, Nana Osei Yaw Akoto. She does not give a toss about Kumawuman all because she with her forefathers never toiled nor shed a sweat towards gaining Kumawuman the wealth that she is joyfully misusing in a manner any idiot is likely to do.

The next enemy of Kumawuman is the Kumawu Kontrihene alias "Tikenenkenen". He has the tacit support of Kumawuhemaa, Kumawu Gyaasehene, Kyeame Osei, Kyeame Koduah, Saanahene and Saamanhene to inflict maximum injurious thievery on Kumawuman. In his capacity as the Acting President of the Kumawu Traditional Council (in the absence of a paramount chief), he sees himself as wielding absolute power to do whatever he likes without anyone able to question his attitude. He has forgotten that "power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost bad men". He has been selling plots of building lands in Kumawu, farmlands, and stool properties to pocket the money. He is not accountable to anyone. He is far worse than the late Barimah Asumadu Sakyi II is when it comes to misappropriating Kumawuman funds and properties. Barimah Asumadu Sakyi II is a saint when we compare the magnitude of his propensity to misuse Kumawuman's wealth to the evilness of the current Kontrihene. Is kontrihene by the way not one of the greedy bastards Rawlings once alluded to in his description of those ruining Ghana as is in Atta Mills's government and in present day Ghana? I wonder why none of the family members of Kontrihene has come out to register their dissatisfaction with the corrupt attitude of Kontrihene. There will be a regrettable price to pay in the near future.

The third enemy of Kumawuman is Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the present Asantehene, the occupant of the Golden Stool. By his deliberate dithering actions and inactions, he seems to condone the mischievous behaviour of Kumawuhemaa and the Kontrihene. One stands agape at the deliberate nonchalance by Asantehene while his girlfriend, Kumawuhemaa, and her first lieutenant-in-crime, Kontrihene, plunder Kumawuman. I doubt if it is not in his interest to have the Kumawu chieftaincy case remained perpetually unresolved. Is his behaviour without historical antecedence of some sort? He has taken Kumawuman and her citizens for fools for far too long just for the sake of one wrinkled-face with squinted eyes woman. For how long does Asantehene think to take the docile citizens of Kumawuman for fools? His craftiness is like a piece of rag before God and the discerning citizens of Kumawuman. He should take notice of this.

All the evils they are happily but ignorantly committing today will soon come to haunt them. "The evil that men do lives after them". Each one of the named persons that has truly harmed Kumawuman citizens through their acts, either intentionally or inadvertently will surely get their comeuppance.

I earnestly entreat the following philanthropists to come to the aid of Kumawuman. Your little financial contributions will go a long way to clip or cripple the eagle-span wings of the enemies of Kumawuman. The names passed to me by a concerned citizen of Kumawuman are, Kwame Tuffour, Akwasi Adu Mensah, Yaw Mensah (USA), Kwame Agyarko, Akwasi Sarfo, Kwame Asiedu (Canada); Supper (Germany), Achico (France), Andrews (Australia); Yaa Brago (Brescia- Italy) and Kwabena Antwi, Kwaku Antwi (UK).

I feel ashamed for the Ananangya and the Odumase family members resident outside Ghana. They do not see the need to unite spiritually, morally and financially to fight to retrieve their stolen paramount stool from the Ankaase usurpers presided over by Kumawuhemaa. They are sitting on their lap unconcerned whilst Kumawuhemaa spoils and steals their birthright. They are also to contribute towards the request for funds as put across.

Please send your contributions to "Joe the Great" formerly "Joe Fry", the Aduanahene of Kumawu via your close relations in Ghana. Please state how much money you do send in your comments to my articles by which I will be able to publish your names and contributions in a special article. The money is urgently needed to institute an action that will stop the enemies of Kumawuman from further wreaking havoc on your beloved place of birth. You will not be alone; I will also contribute my quota. I will inform you once the Aduanahene receives the money and the action started.

I acknowledge the comment on the death of one Georgina as made known by Yaa Brago from Brescia – Italy. A motorbike in Kumasi killed Georgina, a Kumawu woman a few weeks ago. Her body is in the mortuary. My condolences to the entire bereaved family of the said Georgina. May she rest in peace. Ms Brago, thank you for bringing her death to the attention of all Kumawuman citizens the world over.
