The Klagon District Police have launched a manhunt for some burglars, who ransacked the offices of Ndaana Security, a private security company owned by Anbataayela Bernard Mornah, the chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC).
The police said they are making frantic efforts to arrest those who broke into the office located at Klagon, near Ashaiman over the weekend.
According to the police, they visited the scene and took fingerprints as part of their investigations to arrest the perpetrators.
However, no arrests have been made so far, and the police are appealing to the public to provide vital information which could help arrest the suspects.
The burglars ransacked four offices and made away with computers, printers, tables, chairs, as well as an amount of GH¢6,000.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Afia Tengey, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Accra Regional Police Command, said the supervisor at Ndaana Security, George Baba Barikum, reported the matter to the police.
Narrating the incident, Mr Mornah mentioned that documents, furniture, stationery and a cheque book were stolen.
According to him, “Furniture, computers, printers and reception desk were all cleared in the four offices. We have just rooms now. We don’t have anything apart from the workstations and things they scattered.”
“I have been with the investigator, but I don’t know what they suspect. This is about the third time they have been here since Sunday. He is just taking pictures in order to make an appropriate report.”
