Projection Or No Projection NPP Is Down

Sometimes it really pains me when people who are supposed to be educated say or do dumb things that make them fools in the eyes of everybody. Mr.. Peter Mac Manu, the Chair of the NPP fits into that profile. Ghanaians would remember that this man, who is the epitome of arrogance much to the distaste of even NPP diehards, disappeared into thin air after the humbling defeat of the NPP in the December 7 parliamentary elections. To those who would like to know, Mac Manu went to an undisclosed location with Ohene Ntow and Gabby Otchere Darko after the NPP lost multiple parliamentary seats for fear of being blamed by their party supporters because of their arrogance, lies and domineering attitude.

Sometimes we also have people who withdraw from the limelight due to negative attention that they draw to themselves. These people go do their homework by reflecting on their mistakes, misjudgments and terrible attitudes that turns off people and they come back as humble, normal and changed people. But to that group of people Mac Manu is not one of them.

Yesterday, out of nowhere, Mac Manu came out of his undisclosed location. As Chair of the NPP that has been dominated in seven regions by Professor Mills, reporters flocked around him thinking he was going to throw in the towel on behalf of Nana Akufo-Addo. But the reporters got nothing of that. Instead they got their ears full of garbage.

Now hear what Mac Loser has to say. He said Joy FM¢s projection of Professor Mills as the winner or President-Elect of Ghana, is disruptive of the democratic process. To Mac Loser projecting a winner of an election is disruptive when stealing of ballot boxes which is happening for the first time in Ghana ¢s multi-party democracy is not. He went ahead and dismissed the projection which was not only done by Joy FM but almost all the Radio Stations scattered in Ghana as speculative and premature.

This is where I have a problem with Mac Loser. Why should he worry about something that is speculative? Did he not say multiple times during campaign events that NPP was going to win the elections? Was he not being speculative at the time? And how is it different from Joy FM¢s speculation that based on how the returns were coming in, it is possible Professor Mills will win the presidential election.

Based on all what Ghanaians have witnessed was Mac Loser expecting Joy FM, one of the most accredited Radio Stations in Ghana to speculate that Akufo-Addo who is noted for winning only three regions is the projected winner? Where was Mac Loser when Ben Ephson came out last week to project that Akufo-Addo was going to win the run-off? Was Ben Ephson disrupting the democratic process at the time? If yes, why didn¢t Mac Loser hold a press conference to denounce Ben Ephson? Where was he when Gabby Otchere Darko was feeding Ghanaians with false projections that Akufo-Addo was going to win the elections? Probably he may have been smiling and praying that those false projections come to pass.

Now listen to me, Mac Loser. Your party has lost. The big loss clearly shows your party now has serious credibility gap. Your party sold something which Ghanaians refused to buy. And as a result the Osono is going back to the bush where it belongs. For 8 years the havoc this Osono has caused Ghanaians is beyond imagination. But coming back to my point, your arrogance which was very much on display during the press conference cannot intimidate anyone. To the bush you are going with your Osono.

Professor Mills is the President-Elect of Ghana whether you like it or not. Remember I said it before and I will say it again that Akufo-Addo would never be president of our dear country. Your beating of the war drums that you would not accept election results from some regions is hollow and you are making a mockery of yourself. If Akufo-Addo is a man of his own, let him come out as Professor Mills came out today and tell Ghanaians that he would not accept the results.

Your party claim that they are pillars of democracy. You preach that you are the custodians of the laws of Ghana when even your so-called appointed Chief Justice was jailing drivers under an outdated traffic laws. This election was observed by independent groups from outside and their conclusion was that it was generally free and fair. There is nothing like totally free and fair elections. If the NPP with their total control of the security apparatus in the country including everything is crying foul that the opposition has done something sinister during the elections then heaven help us.
