RE: Nduom declares presidential ambitions Oct. 19

“*Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has set aside October 19 to formally declare his intention to contest for the presidency in 2012 on the ticket of the Convention People’s Party (CPP).*” *Ghanaweb 15 October, 2011.***

It’s been nearly two weeks since Hon. Samia Yaba Nkrumah-led leadership took over from the old national executives of the CPP. Interestingly, the leadership has not yet announced a date for its first Central Committee meeting and at the same not proposed names for various deputies for some of the newly elected officers; General Secretary, national treasurer, national women’s organiser, national organiser, national youth organiser and the Treasurer.

Amidst genuine efforts by her leadership to follow party constitution and conversional party practice to undertake the above, Kwesi Nduom is using his wealth as political inducement to let the public know that he is the flagbearer for the party, deliberately embarrassing the leaders of the party and proving his selfishness. Despite calls by many party members on Nduom to respect the CPP structures and its guideline to ensuring election of a party flagbearer and parliamentary candidates, he has resorted to ‘* flagbearer-greediness’*. This exposes him as really anti-Nkrumah and deliberate CIA-in plant to destroy the party. George Opesika Agguddey, a former flagbearer of the party who Nduom sabotaged with his ‘*pro-NPP skirt and blouse*’ during the 2004 elections, has demonstrated his continues respect to the new leaders and party constitution. It is worth saluting George Aggudey for his organizational discipline, notwithstanding his tolerance to alleged attempts by Nduom to continue to undermine him through text messages of *“…there are only 55small flags*”. **

For the few individuals in Nduom's campaign who have failed to deal with many concerns raised in my articles, especially that Nduom has no respect to the party’s constitution, they can purge themselves by attempting to answer why Nduom is so selfishly declaring his ambition in October 19 when the party has not even organised a central committee meeting to agree on a date for the opening of nomination?
