Re: CPP: Still a Copycat Party at 59

In the feature article of Saturday, 21 June 2008 Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., Ph.D responded to Kosi Dedey's June 13, 2008 article titled 'CPP Salutes 'True Big Six'.

I respond to the malicious lies and mythical falsehoods of Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe.

First, on the contrary, the CPP was a national democrats Party that led the decolonisation of Ghana and Africa. Those who led the fight were not gang members. They were loving black people who came to believe contrary to British Imperialism that Africans must unite self, liberate self and work for self; thus using the resources of Africa not to feed and clothe foreigners but the Black Nation.

Second, I would like to point out that the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC) did not give birth to the CPP. On the contrary, the CPP was formed as an independent party, which former members of the UGCC freely and democratically joined. It had global historical links, not to UGCC, but rather to Marcus Garvey, George Padmore, W.E.B. Dubois, across England, America and the West Indies among others. Its traditional emblematic roots, within Ghana itself, such as the red cockerel, lie in the La Stool in Accra. The UGCC has no traditional, ideological or philosophical affinity with the CPP; it never had.

Third, I would like to make it clear Kosi Dedey does not come from Dzelukope and that the CPP has no direct links with the PNDC as Okoampa-Ahoofe sought to mislead readers. The illegal PNDC rather has maternal links to NDC and NPP, both of which the two leading doctors, Dr. John Rawlings and Dr. John Kufour respectively, co-conceived and gave birth to, assisted by a cross -ethnic alliance.

Fourth, the true Big Six that Kosi Dedey posited is a historical CPP alternative to the Big Six that Okoampa-Ahoofe is in love with. I therefore call on Readers to ignore Okoampa-Ahoofe’s false Ananse and Ntikumah history of Ghana.

Fifth, the CPP historically has always been a red cockerel. It has never been a cat; it can therefore never biologically be a copycat. This is one of the usual falsehoods of Okoampa-Ahoofe.

Having worked in the past with Kosi Dedey on publicity in the Greater Accra Regional Executive of the Convention Peoples’ Party, I can confirm such deliberations were topics for discussion aimed at increasing the political education of Ghanaians.

Ghanaians must therefore give special recognition to the really 'True Big Six', namely, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Krobo Edusei, Komla Agbeli Gbedemah, Archie Casely Hayford, Kojo Botsio and Nathaniel Azarco Welbeck who stood together on the podium at the Polo Grounds on March 6th 1957 at the hour of declaration of independence.

Background: The Malicious Myths of Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe  Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe in his nocturnal unenlightening perambulatory circuitous and verbose piece was simply arguing that there is no such thing as the ‘True Big Six’ and that his fraudulent big six must prevail.  Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe also referred to Dzelukope and the Provisional National Democratic Congress (P/NDC) and thus sought to link CPP with the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC).

Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe falsely claimed that the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC) gave birth to a clinically deformed monster called the Convention People’s Party (CPP).

Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe claimed that the CPP was a Mafia-like political gang.

Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe finally sought to falsely label CPP a copycat and logically therefore a cat.
