Re: UCC law faculty, any future?

GhanaWeb Publication on UCC Faculty of Law

The attention of the Faculty has been drawn to a publication in the GhanaWeb, dated 17th October, 2015 and headed ‘UCC law faculty, any future?’ The Faculty reacts as follows:

1. No attempt has been made by the author to seek information from the Faculty on its programme, operations or challenges. The publication is replete with errors and misstatements. The Faculty remains open for such discussion or clarification, should the need arise.

2. While, as a young Faculty, the Faculty of Law has recruitment and other challenges, mainly arising from Government’s two-year ban on recruitment thus far, the Faculty Board, staff and Founding Dean have faced these challenges boldly and have placed the Faculty firmly on track making it a fine and well reputed Faculty of Law in Ghana and abroad, with numerous local and international academic and industry linkages.

May you kindly arrange for this to be uploaded on the Ghana web as a matter of urgency.
