Seek not to Insult my Intelligence,

Fri, 4 Oct 2013 Source: Adofo, Rockson

Oh Political Sycophants.

I am not enthused at all over the attempts by certain sycophantic political bigots to underrate my intelligence. I find it an affront to my intelligence when some political stooges, rented persons, NDC rented newspapers with their agents and assigns go out their way, mischievously of course, to level unfounded allegations against me.

Having resided and continue to reside among the more intelligent White race for over three decades, would I not be intelligent enough to make certain informed decisions by myself? Why are people surprised, feel extremely uneasy when I take a stance on an issue and express my views strongly either in favour or against that particular policy or issue?

When I go against the tide, I am seen in some quarters as having been secretly tasked by their opponent to do as I do. I find this belief by those fond of it for its own sake or for other malicious reasons not only nonsensical but complete affront to my intelligence. Unlike them, I do not wait for someone to ask or pay me to act before I do so because I possess intelligence, wisdom, and know when to act, react or not to.

An NDC rented agent with his newspaper (The Al-Hajj) has recently made a big boomerang. That rubbish journal accused me of been instigated by Nana Akufo Addo to cause the removal of Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, from the Golden Stool that he occupies as the overlord of Asanteman. The author of that silly allegation although never knows me, described me as having “rotten teeth”. As coward as he is, he placed his description of my teeth in inverted commas, meaning he was not such of what he was saying himself.

Anyway, I am not dented by his magical description of my teeth but associating Nana Akufo Addo with my expression of views is what annoys me? Can I not act on my own without being goaded by someone else? Am I that less intelligent to know when to take a decision myself at my age, and also having studied and resided abroad for over three decades?

I wonder why once a “conservancy labourer”, if indeed he was, who by the twist of fate of corrupted politics has now been in the media limelight has the audacity not only to tarnish my reputation but to describe my teeth in otherwise unprintable words. Would I not see my dentist if indeed my teeth were falling off, as rotten as alleged? I only want to hamstring him and others who think similarly as him, therefore dwelling longer on my teeth than it is necessary.

If indeed I have anything to say about Asantehene, I would not wait a second for Nana Akufo Addo to ask me to. Why would they think I will have to wait for someone to direct me before airing my views if indeed, I was displeased by certain actions of say, Otumfuo or a political figure or whomever? What a tactical NDC propagandist aberration to divert the attention of the public away from the incompetence, corruption and whatnots, by the “ede bii keke” government.

When the government is involved in collusive undertakings to rob the nation e.g. dubiously paid judgment debts (classical example of which involves Alfred Agbesi Woyome) and Rockson shares his disagreeing view on it, it is Nana Akufo Addo asking him to do it. What kind of nonsense is that?

When you talk about chieftaincy issues, it is someone hiding behind pulling the strings as though you were a puppet dancing or talking to the tune of the string pulls. When you discuss politics to the disfavour of the incumbent, it is the opponent bribing you to do so. This foolish weapon of waging a war of intimidation against me in a bid to silence me shall never prosper. Do they think I care? Do they think such allegations are able to dissuade me from sharing my views as strongly as I should?

I am no longer under the shackles of physical or mental slavery. I can think independently. Therefore, I find the views of those always saying this or that person is asking him to do this or that, very offensive to my intelligence.

I am an old man who knows his left from his right. I hope the message is well understood and has gone down well as intended. Nobody would ever again link my personally expressed views up to whomever. I am not the type of person to wait until asked to when I know I should act. I AM NOT A ZOMBIE WHO ACTS ONLY WHEN ORDERED TO.

If my views do not sit well with some people, if they find them irritating, then I will ask them to desist from the very acts, the committal of which forces me to discuss them. Seek ye not trouble, and ye shall not find!
