“Accra, Jan. 1, GNA - President John Evans Atta Mills has asked Ghanaians
to forge a united front and rally solidly behind Government to build on
the solid foundation laid in 2009 for national prosperity” (Ghanaweb,
January 1, 2010).
I. IN A POST-TEA ELECTION MODE
Mills is the only Ghanaian daydreaming
Of … the solid foundation laid in 2009 …
Even JJ our mascot of doom is well awake
Mills sees it all but hears nothing at all
His ears are closed to JJ’s wise-CRACKS
Everyone around Mills confuses him
But his akplelized-diet has been satisfying
But JJ calls it thievery and bastardization
Mills’ hangover of campaign promises
Makes him a duck in a parrot’s nest
His meteoric rise is now a mediocre climb
And JJ has ARKAAHed Mills with a curse
A prophetic curse that is JJ’s true calling:
Atta Mills is the epicenter of mediocrity
His 2009 has eclipsed all of JJ’s 20 years
II. CRUSHED MILLS BEAMS AT US
Mills was diagnosed to hit the ground snailing
Mills hit it too like a fractured Fante dokono
Yere sesamu Ghanaians should have listened
Listened to Diagnostic Mr-Mr. Spio-Steal-Dr.
Mills is still daydreaming after one season
The Slave Castle induces crushed dreams
Mills still thinks about the Jubilee House
A Jubilee House of self-renewal of hope
Of not using a slave dungeon as our citadel
But our Jubilee is too close to our Doomsday
Fueled by the NDC Patriarch at colonial Ridge
The owner of the patented anti-Mills vitriol
III. 2009: EPICENTER OF MEDIOCRITY
Daydreaming Mills happily smiles at 2009
But JJ bellows his enriched stomach at 2009
So let us scream with JJ at Mills’ mediocrity
Mills promised to eliminate corruption
But has placed corruption in a silent mode
NPP thieves are free to enjoy their loot
And broke NDC thieves are careering on
Mills promised to be a beacon of probity
But he is now an apostle of political impiety
Mills promised to be a father-pot for all of us
But he now eats:
Daavi akple for breakfast, lunch & supper
Daavi akple for even Fante dessert
But even Daavi is a dietary nationalist
Daavi eats Bukom banku with akple
Konongo kaya fufu with akple
Biriwa roadside salted-fish with akple
And eh! Muntaka diapering of state
Ayariga + Bagbin = ten Mills-made tractors

NDC operatives seizing cars

Free cars for NDC serial-callers

IV. A PERORATION OF DREAMS LOST
2009 is our season of political anomy
Of a moment of potential excellence
In the slippery hands of a daydreamer
A confused patriot in an enslaved dungeon
Locked up in the dungeons of a slave castle
While a Jubilee House that beckons hope
Sits idle in the thickets of the 1979 tin-god
He who never built a Jubilee but has it all
And Mills thinks he has Milled 2009 for us
Yes JJ has ARKAAHed Mills with a curse
A prophetic curse that is JJ’s true calling:
Atta Mills is the epicenter of mediocrity
