The Battle for the Soul and Future of the NDC (Part II)

Sun, 22 May 2011 Source: Fela O Fela

JJ NEVER SAID NDC IS HIS PERSONAL PROPERTY

If Rawlings is now irrelevant to some NDC stalwarts, then they rather should go and form their own political party. They should cease this reverse psychology nonsense of telling JJ to take out his shares from the party and go form another party.

If they think that JJ is now irrelevant to the growth and future of the NDC, then they should rather go and form their own so-called "corporate entity" political party and let's see how far they would get.

According to JJ Rawlings, it was he that gave the directives for the NDC party to be formed after seeing how the NPP was advancing in its own formation and organization across the country towards the transition to multi-party democracy as stipulates by the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.

So what is going on right now is so sickening. That, what is right is no longer right...that what is obvious is no longer obvious. Therefore, it is an insult to the intelligence of some of us who abide by truth and principles to hear all these unguarded and reckless statements coming out of these "opportunists of the Rawlings legacy" --some of these fresh-face deputy ministers and long-time Rawlings' associates.

Once again, so far as JJ Rawlings continue telling the truth and standing for what is right, he would forever have a follower in me...and some millions more.

JJ never said he owns the NDC nor owns the party more that anybody. But is goes without saying that the party was built around him and his well-orated (oral) philosophy (for the lack of any written philosophies of his) .

He is an embodiment of everything that NDC stands for be it real or imagined or even ill-conceived. So if people think he is irrelevant and now a spent force, or useless to his own party, they should rather go and form their own political party with their so called philosophies, if any, and let JJ take what would be left of the NDC and it's values and principles and let's see who would be having the last laugh.

These now all-so-apparent money-conscious businessfolks in political clothing are high-jacking the party that was built around JJ over the years and are rather telling JJ to go and form another party. Just Imagine!!!

Lord have mercy!

So... all of a sudden, the disciples are claiming ownership of Christianity more than Jesus himself....and the disciples, who were picked up and saved along the way, are rather telling Jesus Christto go and form and start another RELIGION!!!!....

If JJ ever thought that the NDC was his personal property, would he have asked Ato Awhoi if he would consider replacing candidate Mills, when JJ learnt that Prof was "very sick"?

If JJ had thought that NDC was his property, would he have promoted or vied for John Mahama as Mills' vice in 2004 over Mumuni?

If JJ thought NDC was his personal property, would he have proposed that Betty Mould as the vice presidential candidate? (what a terrible mistake that would have been.) ...JJ can be too trusting sometimes, and that's one of his problems.

But funny how the world turns and all these folks are rather turning against JJ and putting words in his mouth and casting all sorts of aspersions and half-truths on his person....

I am not for Nana Konadu to run for President at this material time because the timing is not best for her candidacy. I would rather have her run for parliament, endear herself to the people by making the news for the next three to four years, let people see her in a different light or capacity other than that of being the "Wife of JJ Rawlings" and President of DWM where she was not accountable to the public but to herself and her associates or donors.

But it goes without saying that people are taking her pursuit of the flagbearership or the presidency for what it is not....and are rather hurling all sorts of insults on her and her husband and the entire family. Which I think is rather unfortunate and saddening.

YEA THOUGH THE TRUTH DOES NOT WIN ALL THE TIME, I REST ASSURED THAT THE TRUTH WILL SURELY PREVAIL. AND SO LONG AS JJ AND NANA KONADU ARE GUIDED BY THE TRUTH, THEY/WE SHALL PREVAIL....

Some interesting and trying times to be an NDCian.

INSHA ALLAH...all shall be well.

YOU CANNOT WISH JJ RAWLINGS AWAY

[....."Rawlings is irrelevant," ......"NDC does not need Rawlings Anymore," ......"The days of hero-worshipping are over,"...... "the Rawlinges can take out their shares from the NDC (and shove it...)..." ...."JJ should be stripped of his 'party founder' title...", etc ]

Yesu Kristo....I never knew so much ignorance exists in the NDC.... I never knew the likes of NPP's kukuase kurasini's (Sir Johns) dwell in the NDC.

What were they thing before, for all these years, why are they now just coming to this realization?

All these half-baked politicians or money conscious aplanke boys in the Mills camp who made their way into the corridors of power through the backdoor and by "positioning themselves" are now displaying their utter ignorance and gross disregard for the truth as well as gross disrespect for their party founder thus making even NPP's general secretary, Sir John look like an intellectual...

So long JJ Rawlings remains committed to the truth as he has always been, HE WOULD FOREVER REMAIN RELEVANT NOT ONLY TO THE GRASSROOT OF THE NDC, BUT ALSO TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF GHANA AND BEYOND....

It is such stupid comments that would make some diehard NDCians wish to flirt with NDC going back to opposition so that we can see those who could really hang on or still remain staunch members of this great establishment....

JJ Rawlings remains one of the greatest intellectuals in Ghana today, and to say that he has a huge following is an understatement. So to hear statements of this nature emanating from the Mills camp, even for those of us who might not believe in Nana Konadu's bid a hundred percent, we cannot help but to come to the defense of the Rawlingses....or throw our support for the Nana Konadu ticket for 2012... or be it 2016.

This sort of statements lends more credence to the fact that there are elements trying hard to hijack the party that was built around Rawlings, away from Rawlings, and the alternative is nothing but a bunch of POLITICALLY INEPT, MONEY HUNGRY FOOLS who think they can take the masses or the revolutionary-spirited for a ride....

It started from the days of the electioneering campaigns in 2008 as the "new NDC" as they called themselves did not want to include JJ in the campaigns programs...but everywhere they went, the people were asking for JJ...JJ...JJ...JJ....

I remembered the last weeks to the election in 2008, a rally was held at Ashaiman, and they told the people that JJ would be there. But it was only Prof and John and General Mosquito amongst others that were present.....After the rally, the people were so disappointed that JJ was not present, that they walked for hours to the rally all for nothing....The following week, another rally was quickly organised just for JJ to come and grace the stage....

All these problem in the NDC can be easily resolved, even to the satisfaction of JJ Rawlings, if only President Mills would create a more inclusive NDC government where all schools of thoughts, both the moderates and the progressives, the activists and the business folks, the hardliners and the euphemists all have an enabling or conducive environment to serve their country....

ONE GROUP (RAWLINGS CAMP) CANNOT BE SIDELINED BECAUSE THEY POSE A THREAT TO THE AMBITIONS OF THE OTHER (MILLS CAMP)....

THE MILLS CAMP SHOULD STOP DECEIVING THEMSELVES OR ELSE, NDC WILL BE BACK IN OPPOSITION BEFORE WE KNOW IT...

Eiii, NDC IS PLAYING WITH POWER O...Hmmmmm.....

The battle line has been drawn and the truth shall never be buried nor our virtue of fearless honesty trampled upon...

Long live the Rawlings Revolution...if you don't believe in it, see yourself out the door.
