DR OTABIL—PLEASE STOP THINKING ALL GHANAIANS ARE VILLAGE IDIOTS.

Truly has it been said that ‘You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time’.

This simple axiom seems to be lost on our learned Pastor Dr.Otabil. His press conference yesterday has exposed his warped sense of reasoning to the extent that it has left most of the seasoned journalists and the listening public wondering if it is the same Dr Otabil whose weekly preaching on the airwaves that has been a must listen to.

In life if you dine with the devil, you end up paying a heavy price. Who would have thought that the so-called preacher man would have come crashing down to earth with such an almighty bang. You see,if you find yourself in a hole, you simply stop digging, otherwise the more you dig, the more you sink.

How interesting that Dr Otabil in his rebuttal statement never ever said any of the following:

1) That the voice on the tape was not his.

2) That he never said those words on the tape that was being attributed to him.

3) He never said for the records whether he believed in the so-called ‘Free S.H S Education or not. How clever.

These pseudo Pastors who have been using the Bible to cheat, hoodwink, defraud the gullible, undiscerning and vulnerable in our society are surely going to have ‘NEMESIS----the Goddess of Vengeance paying them a visit one by one and she has already started with Dr Otabil.

In all honesty,Dr Otabil ought to be pitied rather than condemned. We all know how much Dr Otabil benefited from the Kufour regime. What of the many board membership of several state institutions and other benefits. We should not expect him to bite the hands that used to feed him. What Dr Otabil is cleverly doing is to position himself in such an advantageous position with a view of being handsomely rewarded should his Party----the N.P.P come back to power. He is cleverly hedging his bets, but unfortunately this time he was so clumsy that his ruse has been publicly exposed.

Regrettably whatever integrity Dr Otabil has, is now damaged beyond repairs. Integrity is like an egg, once broken it is difficult to repair. My elementary Headmistress taught us the fundamental lesson of BEING BOLD in life and stand up for our beliefs and the truth----I hereby offer this same advice free of charge to Dr Otabil.

You cannot sell your integrity and personal believe for a crump of bread that will fall from the table of your political masters. To say that those statements were said several years ago, shows your lack of understanding of the validity of the Bible. Do you want us to believe that all the teachings of Christ our Lord which was said over two thousand years ago are not relevant today?

Please Dr Otabil, it is not too late to repair some of your tattered image if you can find the courage and the boldness to let the whole world know once and for all where you stand on this Free SHS Debate.

I pray to the Almighty God above to grant you the strength and the courage to do so. Remember God is ever ready to listen to our prayers if we show contrition and genuineness in our supplication.
