The NDC is the Weakest Link......Goodbye!

"Violence is the trait of the guilty weakling who cannot convincingly communicate their ideas with coherence, but choose to become like short people suffering from the short man's syndrome, and are eager without any reflection, to compensate for their shortness in height by being aggressively quick tempered, ready to cause needless harm"------Rockson Adofo

The National Democratic Council (NDC) as a political party, dubiously and lopsidedly given birth to with public funds and having metamorphosed from the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) and the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) governments, both chaired by the Ex-Flight Lieutenant Jeremiah John Rawlings, is violent by the nature of her origin. No wonder, the NDC as a supposed democratic government and political party, presided over by the same tyrant, J.J. Rawlings, continues to sparkle in violence. Having its roots from the then undisciplined, aggrieved Rawlings who continually blamed his then messed financial and drug-addicted life on the corrupt actions of his military superiors, executing them by firing squad as a topmost priority on his usurpation of power, one should expect to see the continuity of such weakling's trait in the party.

The acronymic "Junior Jesus", the Messiah, though, a camouflaged wolf in a lamb skin, turned out to outperform the victims of his self-satisfying military adventurism in all their sinful ways in manifold. Cunning as he is/was, he might have rigged the national elections twice to stay as the President of Ghana, having been issued a ultimatum by the USA and the UK to go democratic where his "handing over to whom" slogan became a whining, "they are forcing us to go their way, democratic". Hence sniffing from afar, December 2008, the hallucinatory foul play at the national elections by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), with the ear-splitting orchestration of the NDC's intended attendant mayhem should they be denied the chance to rule Ghana by the public.

Be that as it may, sadly enough, the NDC has become a political force to reckon with and a strong one of course, whether Ghanaians like it or not. But much as I personally love to see them grow from strength to strength, they need to campaign on sound policies, shed their violent acrimonious nature without the issuance of further boisterous threats. No matter how serious the NDC soothsayers of doom mean, people will take them with a pinch of salt and treat them with scorn as long as the likes of Baba Jamal and Daniel Ohene Agyekum carry on drumming their party's evil intentions.

Ghana needs a credible opposition party to check the excesses of the NPP and maybe take over from them but not the NDC, which is without alternative sound agenda but criminal intent not only to maim people but also, to embezzle public funds as has been asserted by Baba Jamal, that the NDC are equally corrupt as the NPP. If they are as bad as the NPP, why then do they want Ghanaians to elect them come December 2008, but not to retain the clueless NPP, the lesser of the two evils, that has ensured absolute freedom and human rights in Ghana?

Friends, Ghanaians and countrymen, do please vote for your Members of Parliament on their individual credibility of honesty, preparedness to fight for, and honour their pledges to their constituents. People who will sincerely be seen on their feet at Parliament putting across the floor the needs of their constituencies, sweating to ensure they are not sidelined in until now the unfair distribution of the national cake. People who will stupidly intimidate just for their personal interest or refuse to let their presence felt at Parliamentary deliberations for whatever reason, only to have their hands shot up in votes of "I concur", should never by common sense, be voted for.

As Anne Robinson on her popular TV Weakest Link programme may say, "Who is that useless mentally retardant, a liability to the course of the team, and is costing you money to filling the kitty?" Vote them out! Once the person is voted out, she then says, "you are the weakest link, goodbye" In much the same way, the distractions, the unhelpful utterances by the NDC and their lack of vision for the nation, make them a spent force to be of any good to the nation in her struggles to shed the economic and social shackles pinning her to the ground while others are flying to the heights of the sky. They are therefore, the weakest link in my estimation so adieu to the NDC.

However, the NPP without a credible visionary person like Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng as their leader should also forget it. No more rotten politicians to take the nation for any further free and rough ride. The negative use of machismo as a political weapon by the NDC to terrorize people into voting for them is very unfortunate. Therefore, those fronting as the pugilistic incumbents in that anti-socio-political field should be ashamed of their traitorous incivility. By their actions, many are the Ghanaians put off, and may continue to maintain the NPP, though a political novice on wobbling feet, navigating the political arena with weighty load of incompetence and corruption on her shoulders.

"The moment the slave resolves that he will no longer be a slave, his fetters fall. He frees himself and shows the way to others. Freedom and slavery are mental states". Ghanaians should no longer accept being enslaved by fellow Ghanaian politicians through corruption and their quest for arrogating to themselves all the good things of/in the country. We need to be brave to resist them but not in the sense of the clique-selfishness as anticipated by the NDC.

Where are the sleeping giants, the CPP with the fragmented PNC, etc? Why this heavy snoring when others are serious doing house to house campaigning for votes to be elected as President and MPs? Are they not rather the weakest link? NO! It is the NDC!

Forward ever, backward never!
