The day NPP and NDC died.

Fri, 30 Aug 2013 Source: Young Liberals Party

Ghana shall never be the same again , people from all works of life have glued themselves to Radio, TV, Social Media and even the Rumour / Gossip mills around the country to listen to the verdict of the Supreme Court , even Ghanaians overseas have also pinned their ears down to the internet and their mobile connectivity with friends and family back home to get a feel of what the pulse of the people are in Ghana.

Fact is, today 29th August 2013 , would mark the day that NPP and NDC wrote their own obituaries in the hearts and minds of Ghanaians. Hours before the verdict is announced, the employed youth of sintim, a suburb of the Takoradi area , are asking if this verdict would mean new job opportunities for them, and the answer to that is NO. The Taxi driver plying the circle to Achimota route tooted his horn and shouted “Today be the Day “ , and in his despair , he turned around to us and said, which ever way the verdict goes today, he would never vote for any of these two political parties and would advise his siblings , family and friends to seek refuge with any other Political party than the NPP/NDC, because all they have brought Ghanaians is headaches, heartaches, hardship and division ( The HHHD Syndrome ) .

As the verdict closes in, the youth of Ghana are calling for direction, and are asking the other Political parties in the country to step up to the plate in showing their sympathy and condolence to the fact that the Era in which NDC/NPP dominated our minds has come to an end, and in its place we have our Ghana’s National Interest First, thereby calling all and sundry on the political arena to begin the soul searching process that goes to the core of why they want to be around the seat of government. The Young Liberals Party of Ghana, is calling for all Ghanaians to embrace themselves to the fact that Justice as will be metted our today is the beginning of change in our country. Change which would ensure that political figures do not abuse their positions, but instead act as role models to the youth in rebuilding our national identity as Ghanaians.

On that footnote, we call on all policy-makers in our country to cultivate the awareness that, young Ghanaians will no longer sit un-concerned. We are ready to stand up and be counted even if it means we would be the only ones standing. Justice is for all, and only then would the peace we cry for prevail on our land.

Long Live Ghana, and God continue to bless all those working to make Ghana a better place to live. Power to the People of Ghana.
