This is my last article from the motherland. My Christmas here was enjoyable, but most of the people I spoke to had a Heavily Impoverished Pathetic Christmas (HIPC) thanks to the New Problematic Party (NPP). Notwithstanding the obvious hardships, some ministers had the guts to appear on TV proclaiming the success of the Kufuor administration.
Hmmmmmm … any way you cut it, the current difficulties don’t spell s-u-c-c-e-s-s
Why did President Kufuor not promise Ghanaians to expect a "BETTER CHRISTMAS NEXT YEAR” in this years Christmas message? In each successive year since he became president he sent out Xmas messages imploring Ghanaians to be patient and to expect “miracles” the following year. Why did he veer away from his standard empty promises and noise making?
Empty promises sometimes make the most Hmmmmmm
According to an NPP stalwart; they will sweep all the parliamentary seats in 2004, but because they want to ensure democracy, they will leave a small number for the other political parties.”
Apparently, the 2004 election results are already under President Kufuor’s pillow. Hmmmmmm
Each time someone complains about the inadequacies of the NPP/Kufuor administration, the party faithfuls turn around and justify it that, NDC also did the same. They use the failure of the NDC as the yardstick to measure the performance of the NPP. Like a wise man once said “Ours is the only nation where the government in power measures its success by pointing to the failures of others”
All we have now is “CHANGE”, the “POSITIVE” got lost after JAK & his cohorts started plundering the nations accounts ….. Hmmmmmm asem beba debi
Nduom Lauds Offer to sell VALCO to Ghana
Yesterday’s policy was privatization; today it is government buying back privately owned companies; tomorrow we will get another Ghana Airways on our hand. Where are we moving as a country under the No Policy Party (NPP)? There was a big struggle for Ashanti Goldfield Corporation, but VALCO’s sale did not even raise an eyebrow among the many investors JAK visited in his 101 travels abroad.
I’m not an economic expect, but Enron accountants are probably singing MC Hammer’s “you can’t touch this”
“Corruption is as old as man. I know that corruption started with man from Adam’s side and that is why I declared ‘Zero Tolerance for Corruption’ and I mean it. When we talk of corruption, we talk of the degree,” - President Kufuor
Simply put: As far as corruption in the NPP government is less than that in the previous administrations, “Zero tolerance for corruption” is on track.
It’s “about-turns” like this that makes those who cried, “let the blood flow” on June 4 go hmmmmmm
SPR Collapses; Nduom says no financial loss to Ghana.
With all due respect to Dr. Nduom are you the one to decide who has caused financial loss to state? Please let the laws of the state and judicial system make that decision.
It’s selective justice like this that makes “jailed NDC ministers” go “what goes around comes around”
Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister warned that areas in the region that experienced bushfires would not enjoy development projects.
I suggest stupidity in public should be criminalized in Ghana. If you don’t see the folly in the minister’s statement, then hmmmmmm
