To Every Bad Mouth, A Judicial Padlock Is Hung

Sun, 14 Jul 2013 Source: Sangaparee, Clement

(Final Part)

It is time for ALL OF US to remember that we cannot advance together by creating ETHNIC DIVISIONS, RAISING FEARS OF DISCRIMINATION and creating MISTRUST among our people. For whether WE LIKE IT OR NOT, we are one people, united in our diversity, and destiny to SINK or SWIM AS ONE PEOPLE”. This was a beautiful Royal speech delivered by King Solomon, His Royal Majesty the Asante King who was recently invited to give this year’s Annual Democracy lecture of the National Commission for Civic Education in Accra, in that lecture, he even went further to state that “Asanteman has always had a Kingship of BROTHERHOOD WITH THE GONJAS in the NORTH, the Nzimas and the Sefwi in the West, and the Anlos in the Volta Region. These special relations remain UNBROKEN. Every tribe, every race can be found in their thousands in the Ashanti Region, so why not listen to the Asante King. Every AKAN SOCIETY IS BASED ON CLANS, and all CLANS in Akan societies ORIGINATE from the same source and are therefore related to each other, so we do not just speak the same language- we are related to each other”. Are these hot headed warlords on war path leading the Asante/Akyem NPP listening very well to King Solomon, the Asante Monarch? No, they have all plucked their long ears and will never listen to wise counsel. If I were God, I would have extended the life span of the Asante Monarch to 700 years as well as that of his great Mother who is still alive, but for him, Ghana would have been in flames by now 2013, why?. In his great wisdom, he foresaw the humiliating defeat of Nana Akuffo Addo, because of his violent speeches, that was why he persuaded the party leaders in the (NDC, NPP and all other presidential candidates to sign the Kumasi Peace Accord which Nana Akuffo Addo signed unwillingly, because he was over confident of winning the 2012 general elections hands down AT ALL COST but lost heavily. His violent supporters killed about 3 innocent NDC supporters, smashed cars, beat up journalists from Joy Fm, Multi-media reporters as well as two reporters and when the NDC did not retaliate they rushed to the Supreme Court with triplicate and quadruplicate PINK SHEETS seeking the annulment of over 4 million votes in order to impose their tribal warlords on war path- Nana Akuffo Addo as the new President of Ghana-And well, we live to see as the bare facts together with pink sheets in duplicates and triplicates surface daily at the Supreme Court from the camp of the NPP petitioners. We have confidence in the Supreme Court’s 9 member Panel to deliver a very fair and impartial judgment and which ever way the final judgment will go, we must all accept it for total peace to prevail in the country and we then move on until another general elections in 2016, since Ghana is our only country. Since 1992, 21 good years of both the NPP and the NDC, the NPP comes across as an ARROGANT, CORRUPT, TRIBALISTIC and DRUNK with underserved power of IMPUNITY WITH THE FALSE BELIEF THAT GHANA IS THEIR PERSONAL PROPERTY SINCE 1951 UP TO DATE, AND BECAUSE OF THAT THEY HAVE NEVER ACCEPTED ELECTION DEFEAT SINCE 1951, 1954, 1956, 1992, 1996, 2008 AND 2012 respectively unless THEY WIN. The only elections they “WON” was in 1969 when Dr. Busia’s Progress Party banned the great CPP and won in a mock election.

The only elections that the UP tradition ever accepted defeats was in 1979 after the June, 4 Uprising in which J. J. Rawlings handed over power to the late Dr. Hilla Liman. That election would have been rigged in favour of Lawyer Victor Owusu, but they dared not do it, under the eagle eyes of J. J. Rawlings who was just about to hand over from the AFRC to the PNP government, but for Rawlings, Dr. Liman would never have been a President of Ghana at all, because he is a Northerner from the minority tribe who was “UNFIT” to be President of Ghana just as they (NPP) are doing to President Mahama-but they lie bad, we shall fight our case legally in Court and win with the help of God. It will be recalled that when the stakes were very high in the 2nd round during the 2008 general elections, the NPP government suddenly made some very strange drastic decisions that observers considered were designed to secure a win at all cost in the second round , but they failed woefully, since Ghanaians are not class one children. Those decisions included the reduction of fuel prices and the reversal of restrictions of textile imports. Do you know what? The NPP has no political will when it comes to general elections-such fake democrats. Over 5,000 commercial drivers who had been imprisoned with hard labour previously for minor offences were immediately released without even going through the normal judicial processes just because the NPP wanted power at all cost, while cocaine dealers who should have been jailed were left of the hook, because they were funding the NPP campaign, it was these poor drivers who committed minor traffic offences that were rather thrown into jail with hard labour. This is the vicious NPP for you. Let them fool around, we shall make them transparent for all Ghanaians to see very soon.

The leadership of the NPP asked Ghanaians to forgive the NPP and the government for any “WRONG DOINGS” that they might have committed, but they did not say what exactly those wrong doings were. However, the Chief Justice (CJ) stated that it was the wrongful application of the law which had resulted in the jailing of the over 5,000 able bodied young commercial drivers between 2007 and 2008. This was a very very serious remark by the (CJ) because by the stroke of a judge’s pen-somebody can be sentenced to death by HANGING. By the stroke of a judge’s pen somebody can be imprisoned through the mis-application of the law as stated by the Chief Justice and could be sentenced between 2 years-200 years. Do you now see the reason why most people have decided to take the law into their own hands by lynching innocent people on mere suspicion of being thieves in Ghana? Going by the words of the Chief Justice, thousands of criminals also who should have been in jail are now walking free, while thousands of innocent people are also languishing in jail through the misapplication of the law according to the Chief Justice for political reasons between 2001 to 2008. Now was is it fair to do that?. To every bad mouth – a judicial padlock have to be hung, but my mouth should not be hunged with a judicial padlock, since I have not crossed the final touch line yet.

Are those remanded in prison not human beings, or have they no human rights. Politicians have plugged their ears, but one fine day, an abrasive vicious President like J. A. Kufour will put you in jail through the misapplication of the law like he did to Tsatsu Tsikata, it is there that you will give me my stone one day. Thousands have been in remand for several years between 5 years to 20 years and nobody cares because the CID investigators were often transferred out of their stations by the IGP and some of the Policemen do not care to take such remand prisoners to the court and so those remand prisoners rot in their cells without blankets. Maybe it is a judicial way of reducing the population through the misapplication of the law by some judges in Ghana. Are we then safe ?. KANAWU.

I am done, “Jaanbie Iwaii” Aluta Continua.
