Too Many Wise Captains on NPP Ship

Many of the members and supporters of NPP have been overly-tolerant of the seeming despicable behaviours of some of the leaders, aspiring leaders and other members with delusive faith of being extremely important in the party.

Many of the members of the party within the top echelon have all unknowingly or knowingly become captains on the same ship. However, the old wise people used to tell us that, “two wise captains cannot man the same ship at the same time”. They may end up issuing simultaneously incongruent instructions that may run the ship aground. This is why it is prudent to have only one captain on a ship with other pilots.

NPP being a political party rightly or falsely overflowing with acclaimed academics and intelligent persons has most of her members being the proverbial or legendary “Kwaku Anansie”. Each of them wants to express their views, stamp their authority and be the one with the loudest voice on all issues. In this instance, they have all become captains on the same cruise vessel but with different views and different approach to things. What a total confusion?

Before proceeding any further, let me expound on my NPP/ship captain analogy by the underlying quoted definition. “A cruise ship captain is the master of a cruise vessel. Captains usually have years of experience in shipping or naval navigation, starting after high school. They must be very experienced in analysing speed, weather conditions and other factors that affect a ship's navigation, while controlling a staff of officers. The skills required of a captain include communication, customer service, delegation and organization”.

What happens if on the same ship we have more than one captain with each issuing different instructions at the same time? Will the situation augur well for the health and safety of the people aboard the ship and the ship itself? The answer is a big NO!

Why then are those within NPP behaving as though they never learn useful lessons from bitter experiences? Some have become like cats or dogs eating their own puppies. They cast insinuations directed at slurring their opponents when slugging it out for positions. What a shame on them!

I have all along been giving them the benefit of the doubt pending their internal elections for National, Regional, District and Constituency or whatever positions. Now that they are done or are half-way through, I shall not spare them the cane to spoil them. I shall crack the cane on the back of any egoistic leader or member found to be wayward in their commitments to the people of Ghana and to the party.

I become very sorrowful when I hear some so-called intelligent members of the NPP arguing blindly, alleging that we have been losing national elections because of Nana Akufo Addo not appealing to floating voters. From their selfish views, aspirations and intentions emanating from evil-mindedness, they are by their pronouncements giving credence to the stealing of Election 2012 by John Mahama and the NDC.

Nana Akufo Addo by my views and that of my White legal brains did win presidential Election 2012. The winning verdict was simply stolen from him by the collusion of Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan, the NDC, John Mahama and that most disgraceful Supreme Court judge, William Atuguba.

Therefore, those wise ship captains on NPP cruise vessel should not behave as if they are equally little-minds and malevolent as their colleagues in NDC.

Like a shepherd dog, I am now coming back but slowly with my whip in hand to crack it on the backs of NPP yobs to get them in line. We can tolerate dissenting views but not diabolic views intended to ruin the party to increase the burden of Ghanaians by still helping to prop the position of incompetent and corrupt Mahama at the helm of the nation’s affairs.

Ghanaians expecting NPP to take over the reins of government from the NDC expect better behaviour but not “dog eats dog” attitude from those in the NPP.

A WORD TO THE WISE IS ENOUGH.
