UK-Ghana cargo alert.

Wed, 20 Nov 2013 Source: Nketiah, Yaw

As there were some Quack Doctors around in the old ages, so do we still have some fake, bad, unprofessional, dubious and unimaginable people posing themselves in the name of Ghanaian Shipping Agents of some sort throughout the UK.

These Fake Shipping Agents go about their criminal businesses by frustrating their fellow Ghanaians from Croydon down to Tilbury. Duping some innocent Ghanaians of their hard earned Monies, Goods and other Services all in the name of Shipment.

Most of these Shipping Companies swindling Ghanaians living in the UK, are not even properly or comprehensively registered and more so insured to safeguard the transactions of their prospective customers and clients.

They package your Goods and Parcels anyhow and loose them at their final destinations.

They mostly lie about the date and time as to when the delivery would reach its designated address. And also seem not to have any clue as to the subsequent departure and arrival of a Cargo.

These Fake Shippers load or pack their current Shipping Container without the prospective customers' Goods inclusive. And to dupe (fool) the customers, they then tell them it is inclusive and use their (Customers) advance payment to pay for another Cargo already awaiting clearance at the port in Ghana.

They do this because, they have long collected other Monies from other customers and probably squandered it.

So goes their system of operation. There is always some Freight or Shipping Containers awaiting clearance and others culminating from behind. All due to the misappropriations of Monies already collected from other customers.

The delaying of Cargoes at the Port also cost a lot of money, to the extent and amount that these said Shippers cannot anymore afford to pay for its clearance.

This is whereby the seizure of Goods and other Commodities by the authority involve creeps in, to develop other nagging confusion.

All this hassle is to the detriment of customers and not the average Shipper.

Therefore as Christmas is approaching, it would be another Harvesting Season for them. But this time round, the joke will be on them.

Simply put, the situation has been raised to a different height this time, and Officials in the UK are ready to pounce on these illegitimate shipping activities they sum as business.

All those in these unscrupulous businesses will soon be Named and categorically Shamed.

So just make sure you keep all the receipts from your so called Shipper intact, should in case of any given nefarious mishap.

Now that their steps are being well monitored, there is hope of a greater margin at the end of our physical, psychological and painful distress, at the mercies of these Shippers.
