The public has the right to be briefed on the progression of the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute from the constraints of the supposed Asante Overlord to the evil machinations of Dr Yaw Sarfo, the alleged, but publicly rejected, Kumawuhene, and the Ashanti police with DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye in command.
Dr Yaw Sarfo and the queen of Kumawu, Nana Abenaa Serwaah Amponsah, seem to have entered into some sort of secret pact with the Ashanti police, tasked them to do their dirty job for them (Yaw Sarfo & Abenaa Serwaah).
Ever since the purported enstoolment of Dr Yaw Sarfo as Kumawuhene with all the proven infringements of the laws, both constitutional and conventional, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Dr Yaw Sarfo himself, Kumawuhemaa and their probably hired police personnel have never relented in their evil pursuits.
As I shall be publishing an open letter to the Inspector General of Police, raising my concerns about the established unprofessional, biased and corrupt attitude of DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye and his police officers, I had better not dwell extensively on them in this write-up but rather mention them briefly.
Dr Yaw Sarfo, the alleged enstooled Kumawuhene by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, however, amid breaching existing constitutional and conventional laws requisite for installing one as Kumawuhene, has unduly been manipulating the Kofi Boakye police to his advantage.
Reading the contents of the underlying web link, cross-checking them against the revelations in a video posted on YouTube titled, "Asantehene involves in corruption", will assist the reader grasp the magnitude of the illegality of Yaw Sarfo as Kumawuhene.
On Easter Friday, 3 April 2015, the Dr Duffour Fan Club, the Kumawuman Hairdressers Association and the Kumawuman Drivers' Union, were scheduled to play a football gala in honour of Kumawuman citizens. This is a yearly event that they have been organising for the past several years. The game was to take place in Kumawu Chief Park.
However, Dr Yaw Sarfo, the alleged Kumawuhene, told them he has also scheduled a football gala in same place on same day. Therefore, he would not allow the others to play their game in the same venue.
The Dr Duffour Fan Club with its sister clubs postponed theirs to the Easter Monday, 6 April 2015. After denying them access to the Chief Park on Friday 3 April 2015, and upon hearing that they had rescheduled their gala for Monday, he cancelled his and postponed it to same Monday. What was he up to?
Came Monday, The Duffour Fan Club and her colleagues could not play because Dr Yaw Sarfo's were playing. They then decided to play it on Kumawu Anglican School's park on Sunday 12 April 2015. Here again, Dr Yaw Sarfo denied them access saying he would be sleeping in the afternoon and since the park is not far from his house, they would disturb his siesta. At the same time, he had again denied them using the Chief Park on that Sunday alleging he would be planting green grass there on same day. This Sunday fell on an "Akwasidae", a rest day reserved for paying homage to the gods and the departed souls.
Finally, they decided to proceed to play the gala in the grounds of Kumawu Tweneboah Koduah Senior High School, formerly Tweneboah Koduah Secondary School (T.K.S.S); in the school's park. The people dared Dr Yaw Sarfo to come over to T.K.S.S to issue his unbecoming instructions if he was that autocrat. This was their attitudinal stance taken prior to relocating the games to the school's park.
People of all age and sex, followed the players to Tweneboah Koduah Seconday School to watch the games. Kumawu was very quiet that day. It was as if it had been emptied of all her inhabitants, because they had all gone to watch the games at Tweneboah Koduah Secondary School.
Barely had they started the games when many police officers appeared at the scene. They had come from both Effiduase and Kumawu. They ordered the games to be stopped. The Headmaster of Tweneboah Koduah Senior High School challenged them, saying, "This football pitch is mine. It belongs to the school so you have no right to come here to issue any absurd instructions to anyone, let alone, asking them to stop playing on the field when there is no conflict among them" He questioned them why they had come there in the first place. They responded saying, "Barimah Sarfo Tweneboah Koduah has instructed us to come here to stop the games because there is the possibility that Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V will attend. His (Barimah Sarfo Tweneboah Koduah's) supporters will also attend and if they came to find Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V, a fight will surely ensue hence coming over to stop the games to forestall any such eventuality"
Luckily, the Headmaster stood his ground. He ordered the police personnel out of the school campus. The games ended peacefully without any fight as it otherwise was the cunning premonition of Dr Yaw Sarfo.
Again, and most importantly, on the "Akwasidae" (Sunday 12 April 2015), Dr Yaw Sarfo, Kumawuhemaa, and their supposed overlords, but indeed accomplices, with the Kofi Boakye police inclusive, hatched a plot to make a scene in Kumawu. However, it was foiled by God's timely intervention. From my reliable source of information, they had secretly arranged some macho men from Kumasi to come to Kumawu on pretence of having come to pay homage to Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V, when he was sitting in state to receive the public, but indeed, had come to cause mayhem.
One of them pretending to be drunk or actually drunk, would either slap Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V across the face, or hit him with something. This would surely cause like-manner reaction (counter reaction) from his supporters, leading to spontaneous serious conflict with potential to cause injuries or death to some of those present. The plot was, as soon as the fight starts, the police who had really come from Effiduase in their numbers and were loitering around would rush in to arrest Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V with his sub-chiefs and supporters.
Why are the police permanently supporting Dr Yaw Sarfo, a supposed Barimah Sarfo Tweneboah Koduah, to intimidate his perceived opponent, Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V?
As promised earlier, I shall be writing an open letter to the IGP so I shall not expatiate upon DCOP Kofi Boakye and the Effiduase Divisional Police Commander Appiah's biased involvement in the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute. Commander Appiah has now been reassigned to Asante Bekwai.
Some people in Kumawu who are infuriated by the unprofessional, biased and corrupt attitude of Kofi Boakye and Appiah are planning to resort to traditional means, fetishism of course, to invoke curses on Kofi Boakye. They claim he has been palm-greased with a sheep and GHc10, 000 (100 million Old Cedis) by Kumawuhemaa and Dr Yaw Sarfo.
While I would rather entrust everything to God if I felt that much aggrieved by the actions of Kofi Boakye or take a legal action against him, I do not care one bit about the plans of those willing to invoke curses on him, if indeed he has accepted anything from Kumawuhemaa and Dr Yaw Sarfo (Barimah Sarfo Tweneboah Koduah) for whatever reason.
"Okronfuo owu ne nsa anno" – He who commits crime die in his crime or "the wages of sins is death".
For the attention of Dr Yaw Sarfo, for how long are you going to maliciously intimidate the popular Kumawuhene (Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V) by always quickly resorting to the police with whom you are in collusion? Do you know that when you push the coward to the wall or to a tight corner, there will be a time and day that he will muster courage to fight back?
During my Conflict Management course, I learnt among other things that people tend to be triggered into an angry reaction if they feel: embarrassed, insulted, frustrated, and afraid. Therefore, beware of your harassing or intimidating attitude toward Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V and his support base of about 95% of Kumawuman citizens worldwide. They will not continually remain the cowards you think they are. You will finally get your comeuppance for your intimidating behaviour; that is a certainty.
NB: Are there not two chiefs in Tuobodom in the Brong-Ahaho region? Are there not two chiefs in Suhyen in the Eastern region? Were there not two Ga Mantses in Accra? Did, or do, any police personnel intimidate anyone of them as it is contrary the case with Barimah Tweneboah Koduah V of Kumawu in the Ashanti region, by DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye and his boys and girls in uniform?
