Violence is not part of NPP - Ayisi Boateng warns NPP youth
Ghana's High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr. George Ayisi - Boateng has bemoaned over the recent violence within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over school feeding programme.
According to him, violence is not characteristics of NPP adding member should exercise restraint.
‘The authorities should amicably find a lasting solution to the school feeling wranglings in the party’’, he said.
"Let me take this opportunity to beg Party sympathizers to calm down down, it is true that everybody has high expectations but God has time for everybody," he noted.
"Every position is occupy by one person so I am appealing to our members to patient while the President is working with humility and calmness and it’s expected that party faithful follow same," Mr. Ayisi Boateng stated.
He appealed party youth wing not to do anything to tarnish the image of the Party and the government because where their leader want to transform the nation they should give him the support to transform the nation.
Recently, the Northern Regional School Feeding programme office remains shut eight days after a pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, Burma Camp locked the office.
The group have vowed not to open the office until their grievances are met, a stance that has left school children hungry.
The October 16, shut down was led by Kamil Sulemana who has pointed out that monitoring officers are also doublings as caterers who cook for two or three schools.
The situation, he said compromises the quality of the monitoring and is a clear case of conflict of interest.
He does not understand why the cooking jobs should be shared among a select few when several other women in the party need jobs.
Speaking to otecfmghana.com, the founder Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Mr. George Ayisi Boateng emphasised that President Nana Akufo Addo led NPP government is working assiduously to create jobs for the youth in the country so they should desist from any acts of violence.
“The factories we are trying to build are for the youth adding that they should exercise enough restraint while their grievances are being addressed’’.
He therefore appealed to the authorities to amicably solve the problem.
