Newly-signed Jiangsu Suning midfielder Mubarak Wakaso visited his former Deportivo Alaves teammates to bid them farewell after his move to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning.
The combative midfielder penned a three-year deal with Jiangsu Suning on Wednesday.
Ghana's leading football portal, GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively reported that the Blue and Whites paid Spanish LaLiga side Deportivo Alaves $3 million to snap the 28-year-old enforcer.
He was one of Alaves’ best players since joining them two seasons ago from Greek side Panathinaikos in 2017.
Wakaso has previously played for Panathinaikos, Elche, Villarreal, Espanyol, Celtic, Las Palmas and Granada.
He has represented Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, as well as four Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
In total, he has made 58 appearances for the Black Stars since making his full international debut in 2012 against Malawi in a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
