Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso will miss Deportivo Alaves next league game against Valencia clash through suspension after picking his fifth booking of the season in their 1-0 win over Real Sociedad.
Wakaso was a booking away from picking up a one-game suspension ahead of Friday’s league action against Real Sociedad.
The hard-tackling enforcer was on a tightrope ahead of the match after picking up four yellow cards in the Spanish top flight league.
Wakaso escaped a booking in the side's goalless draw with Sevilla a fortnight but failed to escape a suspension at the Anoeta after he was cautioned on the 34th minute of the game for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Wakaso has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the club, 12 in the league and 3 in the Copa del Rey.
