We Are Grateful

We should be grateful to the NPP government for implementing the National Health Insurance Scheme which seeks to provide free medical care for all Ghanaians who register under this policy by contributing a token to the scheme. It is far better than the Cash and Carry system. A healthy body is a pre-requisite of national development and this policy will facilitate that. We should be grateful to the NPP government for implementing free medical care for pregnant mothers and all children under 18 years. This government does indeed care for the future generation of this country. Maternal mortality is bound to be reduced drastically under this policy. Our pregnant mothers, wives, and sisters, courtesy of this government will be safe. We should be grateful to the NPP government for implementing a policy of free education for children of school going age from primary to JHS level. A country with a strong educational backbone is the key to its development. This country recognizes that.

A country with a strong educational backbone is the key to its development. This country recognizes that. We should be grateful to the NPP government for introducing the Metro Mass Transport services which has greatly reduced the cost and inconvenience of public transportation in the country. Many countries are demonstrating against high fuel prices leading to high cost of transportation. This policy will greatly ameliorate this hardship in Ghana.

We should be grateful to the NPP government for introducing the School-Feeding Programme which ensures that children of school going age are entitled to a nutritious meal a day. A malnutritional mind is unable to develop. Our youth will grow up to be brilliant, pushing the nation’ development agenda forward. We should be grateful to the NPP government for the National Youth Employment Programme which has greatly reduced the level of unemployment in the country. It is said that the devil finds work for idle hands. This policy will find work for the youth and will lead them not into temptation. The cries of no job for the youth, no job for the youth will be a thing of the past.

We should be grateful to the NPP government for the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme which seeks to bring some relief to extremely poor households in some selected districts where each identified household will receive a minimum of GH¢8 (the equivalent of a little over $8) and a maximum of GH¢15 (the equivalent of a little over $15) a month. We should be grateful to the NPP government for creating a sound economic environment, implementing sound economic policies and strengthening democracy, the result of which is the influx of foreign banks into the country and their subsequent expansion. The youth churning out of the country’s tertiary institutions are landing job.

Congratulations to the NPP government for all these fantastic policies. You truly have the interest and wellbeing of our great nation at heart. NPP! You deserve another term in office.

INDEED, WE ARE GRATEFUL!

PS: There is still room for improvement.
