We shall Overcome

Fri, 13 Dec 2013 Source: Yawose, John

It is recalled that ex-President Rawlings and his NDC

supporters constantly accused Ex-President Kufuor of masterminding the killing

of YANA the Dagbon overlord in 2002 and even called the latter a murderer in

the run up to the 2004 and 2008 Presidential campaigns. Rawlings/NDC- promised

Dagbon kingdom forcefully that they had the facts and Ex-President Kufuor would

be prosecuted for the death in the event that NDC came to power. NDC have been

ruling since 2009 and there is no prosecution showing that there were no

foundations in their murderous campaigns tactics connecting Kufuor to the

killing of YANA. They just used YANA‘s unfortunate death to concoct stories against

NPP to woo Northern Region voters. Up till today, Dagbon citizens feel peeved

and used. RAWLINGS AND HIS WICKED COHORTS ARE YET TO APOLOGISE TO KUFUOR FOR

THEIR ACCUSATIONS AGAINST HIS PERSONALITY

Recently the irrational Kobby Acheampong the newly appointed

GYEEDA Cordinator, called on the security forces to arrest Akufo Ado and ex

–President

Kufuor for stealing $3.5m from the 2001 proceeds of the sale of the oil rig.

Chris Kpodo , a known NDC top dog and a

former Ghana High Commisioner to UK, later testified at the Justice Yaw Appau

Judgement Debt Commission to the fact that the money was actually lodged

in a London bank on behalf of the Government of Ghana. The facts are now known

about the whereabouts

of the $3.5m and that the money was not stolen by the NPP kingpins as he

alleged, IRRATIONAL KOBBY ACHEAMPONG HAS NOT APOLOGISED TO THEM. HE IS MUMU

OVER THE ISSUE.

This same Irrational Kobby Akeampong HAS STILL NOT

APOLOGISED TO EX-PRESIDENT KUFUOR, when it was proved to him, early in

President Kufuor’s rule that the latter had not used public funds to build

swimming pool and other sophisticated structures in his Airport Residence as he

–Kobby- had vehemently and openly alleged.

Again, the former Head of Policy Monitoring and Evaluation at the

Presidency, Mr Tony Aidoo, the other day accused former President J.A. Kufuor’s

New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration of destroying – The Ashanti Goldfields

Corporation (AGC). According to Mr Aidoo, the NPP

administration ‘destroyed’ AGC by selling “the 25 percent golden shares” that

gave the Government of Ghana veto over any corporate decision taken by the

company.

“At the end of the day, all our shares vanished into thin air. I was

holding Ghc4 million shares… at the end of it, the value of my share was

Ghc4000. It was completely destroyed” -he said, adding that it was

irresponsible on the part of the administration to have disposed of the veto.

But in a reaction, Mr. Frank Agyekum,

Spokesperson to the former president refuted Dr Tony Aidoo contentions and said

that the Kufuor administration rather doubled Ghana's share value from 120

million cedis in 2001 and also doubled Ghana’s representation on the management

board of Anglogold Ashanti by 2008, at the time President Kufuor exited. Mr

Agyekum further indicated that if any government has been in the business of

selling shares of Ashanti Gold it is not NPP; it is NDC. DR TONY AIDOO WITH THESE

REVELATIONS IS STILL

YET TO APOLOGISE FOR HIS WRONGFUL ACCUSATIONS TO EX -PRESIDENT KUFUOR.

Enter the President John Mahama who has jumped into outlandish, undiplomatic and

nonresidential attributions

saying the recent fire outbreaks at Makola, Agbogbloshie and other places in

Accra and parts of the country were the handiwork of arsonists and also the NPP,

the largest opposition party, who wanted to make the country ungovernable. The NDC

rubbish commentators led by the Deputy

Information Ministers, Felix Ofosu Kwakye and Murtala Muhammed

skinned the NPP for indulging in such activities calling them names like

nation--wreckers.

Now, their own probes led by USA

crack fire officers have established that electrical faults caused these fires

and that NPP had nothing to do with them. PRESIDENT MAHAMA AND HIS RUBBISH

COMMENTATORS

ARE YET TO DO THE HONOURABLE THING AND APOLOGISE TO NPP.

NDC should do the honourable and respectable thing and

apologise to Ex-President Kufuor and NPP on the issues raised in the spirit of

brotherhood, sisterhood and true democracy but alas, the NDC culture of ‘lies’

continue. NDC culture of ‘not apologising’ continues. We shall overcome!!!!
