“Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed: To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless” (Yeshayahu/Isaiah 10:1-2 KJV).
Hmmm, it is time to talk about laws and righteousness. The former quote illustrates the mindset of Yahweh, God of the ancient Hebrews, as far as His opinion on manmade laws that are made to oppress are concerned.
At this very hour, we live in a generation where globally, evil is called good and good is called evil. Of course, ours is not the first generation in which righteousness has been lacking. The Hebrew prophets of yesterday recorded a history of their people (Yisrael) and that of other nations, to show future generations about what happens when the will of man—legally speaking too—seeks to override the WILL OF YAHWEH. That is the subject of this article.
The Western World and its Legal Doctrines
In the Western world, there are numerous laws in existence to regulate human conduct. Not a day goes by where we do not hear of some intended legislation to regulate human conduct in the name of the state. Periodically, some of these laws are deemed insufficient—by legislators—to capture the cultural mood and need for order in society. So then, laws get repealed, amended and of course, new ones are created. But from where does man or better yet, the European get his and her prerogative to create legislation at their whim?
The answer to the question lies in the term TRADITION. Or better yet, as is the case in the modern world: Roman and Catholic legal tradition. We live in a world where the legal traditions of the Roman Empire and the apostate Catholic religious order continue to decide literally, what many eat, wear and in general how they live. This happens not only in Europe, but all across the globe. Even on the world’s second largest continent: Africa.
In addition to the Roman and Catholic “canon” legal traditions, the Western world—in particular British influenced societies—has been influenced by what is known as the “common law” where past judgements establish rules on the conduct of judicial affairs (i.e. the “rule of law”). Even as we speak, many in Africa have learned the lingo of advocating for the rule of law in their nations.
Yahweh’s “will” and Torah Legal Doctrine
Despite the widespread influence of Western legal traditions across the globe, other legal traditions do exist in the world. For example, there is the Hebraic legal tradition which is rooted in the Torah. The Torah legal tradition was born out of the slavery experience of an ancient people known as Yisrael. It is believed that this legal tradition reflects the heart and mind of Yahweh, the God of the ancient Hebrew people.
In past times, this same God of Yisrael—the Hebrews later came to be known as Yisrael—who is referred to as Elohim in Hebrew, established an order among the descendants of His holy prophet Abrakham (Abraham) when he gave a latter prophet Moshe (Moses) statutes, commandments, ordinances and judgements for His people. This “law” formed the spiritual and legal foundation for a people who were referred to as “peculiar”, in that their legal tradition set them apart from other nations in the earth. Simply put, to the heathen, Yahweh’s laws and by default, His people are often perceived as an exceptionally strange bunch.
Western Philosophy, Human will and Law
Ultimately, the evidence of legal traditions is a reflection of the fact that the human will or ability to choose, can be exerted to bring about order in society. Legal traditions are a reflection of willpower being exerted for the purpose of creating order. Sometimes, this order is just and sometimes the resultant order of a legal tradition can be unjust. It really depends on whose wisdom or philosophy is behind a particular legal tradition.
In the case of the Western legal tradition or “civil law”, just consider that historically, this tradition has been used to persecute and destroy the very lives of the peace loving adherents of the Hebraic law. The world of ancient Rome, for example, is well known to have persecuted and expelled Yehudis (Jews) at different times in history. Such persecution was politically and religiously motivated with the aim to annihilate a people with a claim to the Torah. This claim to the Torah meant that they believed in the “one true God” and that all other gods of the Roman Empire were simply heathen idols.
As it stands, the Roman philosophical tradition has always permitted and promoted a worldview that accepts the idea of many gods (polytheism). The wisdom of the Yisraelites contradicts this Roman philosophy however. In fact, the Torah legal tradition categorically states that with respect to Yahweh, “I am the Lord [Yahweh] thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Shemot/Exodus 20:2-3 KJV). Hebraic law has always linked polytheism to the slavery and corruption of God’s people.
Conclusion: Western Law signifies a Battle for Polytheism and Slavery
Europeans are direct descendants of some of the peoples of the Roman Empire. Western Europe in particular, has a well noted history of enslaving peoples who were brought from Africa, into the so called new world. This history reflects an aspect of the Western legal tradition: it can be bent at the will of man to suit even the flimsiest of excuses for order in society. To say the least about this, it is for this reason that the Western legal tradition must inevitably unravel as the hearts and minds of Westerners are saturated with lies, and twisted opinions about spiritual truth.
In effect, as every person continues to build up the idolatry of his or her own mindset in the Western-inspired “new world order”, so it must be that Torah believers and everyone who professes the name of Yahweh and His Son Yeshua, have to come to terms with the hidden agenda of the slave system of “Mystery Babylon”.
FINAL NOTE: According to Yeshua, messenger of Yahweh, and “Son of God”, the children or descendants of Yisrael are commanded to repent. They are to repent of breaking Yahweh’s laws and commandments, since Yahweh’s Kingdom has arrived. The previous statements are taken from the gospel of Mattityahu/Matthew. They reflect the will, or choice of the God of Yisrael regarding the future of His people.
