"Most of these people were also not aware that Kufuor donated $60m to Akufo-Addo, and GHC30,000 to each NPP Parliamentary Candidate for their campaign activities. In fact, they were not also aware that, whilst most of the aspirants in the party's stronghold kept their campaign money because they envisaged a victory at all cost, those in the orphan constituencies also kept theirs because they envisaged defeat."
The above is a direct quote from the article titled;
"Why is Nana Addo Silent on Prez Kufuor's Murder Allegation?" written by one Agyemang, Katakyie Kwame Opoku, a staunch diehard Alan Kyerematten supporter. In his haste to lambast Nana Akuffo Addo as somebody who does not appreciate what President Kufuor has done for him, Katakyie Opoku Agyeman who lacks legerity and in that malarkey article came up with that figure to impress his supporters and impugn Nana Akuffo Addo's character didn't think through well the implication of his blabbering. Not only did he insult Nana Akuffo Addo but he indirectly even accused Alan Kyerematten NPP Parliamentarians of stealing the GHC30,000 supposedly doled out to them by President Kufuor, did Katakyie engage his brains before he went to spastic rantings?
President Kufuor before he became President, some of us are aware was well off but not fabulously rich or a dollar millionaire and eight years at the Presidency does not pay that much so where did he get the sixty million dollars ($60M) to donate to Nana Akuffo `Addo's Presidential campaign? This is a dire indictment on President Kufuor's legacy and his Aides should not just sweep this under the carpet but should come out and address this issue.
President Kufuor's presidency is revered by Ghanaians and a nostalgia a lot of Ghanaians miss and his legacy should be eternize instead of political opportunists like Okatakyie and his Agenda 2020 group in their bid for political power to destroy with lies. Now a lot of Ghanaians are going to demand to know if President Kufuor actually donated that gargantuan amount of money to Nana Akuffo Addo's campaign and if he did, where he got that money. Now this quidnunc Okatakyie has given President Kufuor enemies another arsenal in their armoury to use against him.
It is now becoming crystal clear that Okatakyie has no evidence about this 60 million dollars donation because when one of the most respected Columnists and Ghanaweb commentator, Kofi Ata of Cambridge asked him Okatakyie to expatiate on his allegation with this comment;

Why is Nana Addo Silent on Prez Kufuor's Murder Al
Katakyie, what does the Akan proverb mean in English? I could only read the first two words (Mpani se).
Could you do Ex-President Kufuor and Ghanaians a big favour by clarifying whether Ex-President Kufuor donated $60 million to the Nana Akufo-Addo 2008 campaign as well as whether he also donated GHc 30,000 to every NPP parliamentary candidte in 2008? Where is your source of these figures.
Some people call Ex-President all sorts of unprintable words, which I have always dismissed as rubbish. If you are unable to clarify what you have put on record, there will be doubt in my mind the next time I read about such accusations against the Ex-President. I am very worried because I do respect the Ex-President a lot.
Not only could he not come up with a better explanation but rather stupidly challenged `Nana Akuffo Addo to deny his sophistry with his answer

Please clarify $60 million donation
Kofi, what clarification do you need? Didn't Akufo-Addo confess that Kufuor had assisted him financially and morally in all campaigns? Why didn't he tell us how much money he received from Kufuor? Let him come and challenge me.
`Who does this guy think he is to throw a challenge to Nana Akuffo Addo to come and challenge him? Does this guy who seems to ride the short yellow school bus not aware he is exposing President Kufuor to ridicule with his unfounded 60 million dollars allegation? If Akuffo Addo said President Kufuor assisted him financially, does it mean it was $60 million? How does this guy reason?
President Kufuor or his Aides should come out and confirm or deny if he ever donated sixty million gargantuan dollars to Nana Akuffo Addo campaign in either 2008 or 2012.
Now this same Okatakyie is alleged to have posted on his facebook wall calling for President Kufuor to form a new Party. The source of this newsreel (Al-Hajj) though gives me a pause to exercise caution but knowing how desperate this Okatakyie is trying to make a name for himself in the wayward politics of Ghana, I would not be surprised if it turns out to be true. According to Al-Hajj, Okatakyie posted this message on his facebook wall.
"Reacting to the self-acclaimed financier of the NPP and foul mouth legislator, Katakyie Kwame Opoku Agyemang, a known Alan fanatic, wrote on his facebook wall that "is former president Kufuor now a murderer? Oh my God! I think Kufuor must leave the NPP and form his own political party."
Citing how former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo sidestepped his own party to support an opposition party, the national coordinator of the defunct Get-Alan-Kyeremanten elected, stated "Obasanjo tore his party card on a national television and the candidate he supported won the Nigerian elections."
What is the sense for President Kufuor at the age of 76 to form a party when he cannot run for another term for the Presidency to form a party and even he Okatakyie has been lambasting Nana Akuffo Addo at age 71 as being too old run for the Presidency but he will welcome a Party led by a 76 year old man?
Okatakyie and his paymasters should have cojones not come out and say that President Kufuor should form a Party and make Alan Kwadwo Kyerematten the Presidential candidate since Alan and his three percenters (The percentage Alan got in the Npp Presidential nomination was about three percent) have no constituency and he cannot use his own name to form a Party but will rather ride on the cotails or popularity of President Kufuor to spoon feed him to the Presidency.
Okatakyie, get a real job, ok? I know you have been trying desperately to get a teaching job at some of our secondary schools but to no avail you have to take a job at a private high school as a `Counselor or something like that after Alan checks stopped coming, continue doing that instead of tryng to make it in politics by being this desperate, `Good luck.
Long live, NPP
