Be bold and take over the NPP!!!

Nana Akufo-Addo whose political career has come to an end is seriously taking down the NPP with him.Simply put, Akufo-Addo is tearing the NPP apart. He is destroying the NPP. The NDC already has a candidate for the 2016 Election in the person of President John Dramani Mahama. The rebuilding, re-structuring and rebranding of the NPP must start now if the party is serious about winning the 2016 Election.

Everything has been wrong with the NPP shortly before the declaration of the 2012 Presidential results by the Electoral Commission (EC) and a few days after the declaration of the results. The press conferences addressed by the NPP National Secretary, Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) and NPP National Chairman Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey creating an impression as if the NPP had won the election was to say the least absurd.

What is Nana Akufo-Addo fighting for? President John Mahama won in eight (8) regions out of ten (10) and further garnered 28.67 per cent of Ashanti region and 42.61 per cent of Eastern region. The NDC won a decisive majority in Parliament with 151 seats whiles the NPP has 120 seats. With this clear-cut victory, what is Nana Akufo-Addo and his clique of sycophantic bootlickers fighting for. They are simply destroying NPP, a party my grandfather worked so hard for in the 1950's. A party my father is known to have given so much of his time, energy, spirit and resources to consolidate in the Bole-Bamboi and Gonjaland of Northern Region. The massing up of irate mob in the name of NPP supporters to the Electoral Commission was unnecessary. The refusal by Nana Akufo-Addo to accept defeat is really destroying the NPP. The violent attacks on innocent persons including journalists at Kwame Nkrumah Circle and other places is embarrassing the NPP and might affect its fortunes at the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Indeed, the demeanour of the current leadership of NPP throughout these days leading to the end of the 2012 elections and days immediately after would have a telling effect on the fortunes of the party in subsequent elections. The general secretary Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) continue to exhibit a shallow depth of knowledge on almost every subject.
