Who is Dancing Tango with the Devil

Mon, 15 Apr 2013 Source: Adofo, Rockson

...and Who is the Devil's Advocate?

The old wise men used to say, "He who lies down with dogs, rises with fleas". Much as it takes two to play the game of chess or draught, so does it take two to tango? Is it therefore any wonder that a retired Supreme Court Justice Francis Kpegah has not only decided to collude with the shaky NDC government in attempts to prop their position but also, to be their assign to malign Nana Akufo Addo?

Justice Kpegah, a self-styled guarantor of fairness, equality and justice appears to double as a public vigilante uniquely to deal Nana Akufo Addo a blow he, Nana, will never forget. From all indications, the retired Justice is only stronger when it comes to mischievously discussing, and casting aspersions on, Nana Akufo Addo but is feebly docile or silent when it comes to other issues and personalities.

He is seriously doing a dirty work for the NDC in the hope of diverting the attention of the good people of Ghana from concentrating on ensuring justice for Ghanaian voters. His diversionary tactics to hook Ghanaians on to giving serious attention to, or dwelling needlessly on scrutinising whether Nana Akufo Addo is an impersonator, a lawyer, or a charlatan, will not find any place in the hearts and minds of many an intelligent Ghanaian. The foxy Justice Kpegah knows very well that a divided attention is never concentrated hence; his unrelenting efforts to draw our attention to an otherwise unimportant issue of unfounded allegation of impersonation and murder against Nana Akufo Addo.

Discerning Ghanaians, I should think, are more worried about the economic and social damage the unprecedented scale of official corruption supervised and inimically defended by "President" John Dramani Mahama is doing to them and the nation Ghana. Ghanaians do not care about that preposterous figment of imagination as determinedly espoused by Justice Kpegah.

In dancing tango with the Devil, my noble retired Justice Kpegah is unknowingly, which I doubt he is not aware of, infected with same bad habits as glaringly in daily display by the NDC and their agents. He has become intellectually, morally and spiritually blind to the evilness of those with whom he fellowships. As it does not belong to he who is leading to redirect their steps, I will be pleased to inform Justice Kpegah that all sensible Ghanaians in this moment of trial or time of destiny in which Ghanaians find themselves; he had better do something gloriously different.

Many a Ghanaian would rather require Justice Kpegah to emulate the sterling qualities of, and the exemplary credible pursuance by, Brother Martin Amidu. Helping to end official corruption in Ghana by a selfless act of taking on the corrupt officials, advising and castigating the government when she errs on, and involves herself in, corruption, selective justice, lawlessness etc. is what Ghanaians want but not attempts to defame or expose someone for abuses you are not 100% sure of.

Much as Justice Kpegah and his assigns (devil advocates) are desirous to move Heaven and earth to prove to Ghanaians the real professional status of Nana Akufo Addo, I would much the same way expect them to pursue Alfred Agbesi Woyome, that Ghanaian swindler of the century for the GHC51.2 Million he has collusively defrauded Ghana of. They should also try to unearth the secret behind the GHC15 million spent on intended industrial scale production of guinea fowls but has only six hundred (600) live "nkonfem" and twenty (20) eggs to show for. They are also to task themselves with investigating the GHC33 million spent on reforestation project by SADA in the northern part of Ghana but unfortunately, have not a single planted seedling to show for such a gargantuan capital outlay.

Is it not worth investigating how the country came to broke, with all the meat eaten to the bone without money to pay civil servants unless petroleum products and utility bills were urgently increased to astronomical heights? Is it not worth its salt if Justice Kpegah and his rented agents and assigns resident in the US and the United Kingdom would devote their time digging to establish why government appointees (Okudzeto Ablakwah, Kofi Awonoor, Barton-Odro, Alex Segbefiah) at overnight became spokespersons and defenders of questionable individuals, persons and companies intent to dupe Ghana out of millions of New Cedis? Was Okudzeto Ablakwah not fronting for African Automobile to dubiously sue the country for what he said to be US$1.5 billion?

I wonder why Justice Kpegah and his agents and assigns doubling as internet columnists rather find such pertinent issues worthless but exposing Nana Akufo Addo for what he is, or what he is not, urgently more important. The assigns of Justice Kpegah and the NDC for their parochial and devilish interests, I suppose, have been contacting the Schools attended, places worked at, by Nana Akufo Addo to prove whether or not he is a lawyer. Will this put bread on my table? No! Will chasing Woyome to collect that stolen gargantuan money, investigating acts of official corruption and collecting the money so dubiously earned and punishing the culprits put food on my plate? YES!

Some Ghanaians are now wiser. The wise ones will not allow anyone pursuing their selfish interest and agenda to throw dust in their eyes by seeking to divert their attention. We should stay focused on ensuring the Supreme Court does Ghanaians immense favour by pronouncing judgment in line with the credibility or not, of evidential documents presented to her by the Petitioners. We want nothing but JUSTICE.

Mr. Kpegah, the supposed upholder of fairness, equality and justice thinks it is his inalienable right to live at the benevolence of the Ghanaian taxpayer by refusing to pay his rent and utility bills when due. He now owes GHC350, 000. He is refusing to make payment citing the flimsiest excuse that the Government should have provided him with a free accommodation as part of his end of term conditions of service or emoluments. In the event of the government failing to provide him that service, then he has every right to entrench himself in the accommodation provided him by the judicial service when he was in active service. Now, the house is needed by the judicial service to pass on to another person but Justice Kpegah, a similitude of "Osuo Abrobuo otim nea otim" is refusing to yield in. A retired and experienced Supreme Court Justice and a probable legal luminary as he is, still believes in the contrary veracity of justice in "robbing Peter to pay Paul". This is an NDC agent for you. Birds of the same feathers flock together. He sees nothing wrong about this common act of ridiculous injustice.

May I take this opportunity to inform all those dancing with the devil and the Devil advocates that Ghanaians at this critical moment of their precarious financial and economic hardships are least interested in whether or not Nana Akufo Addo is an impersonator or not. Sensible Ghanaians are more interested in ensuring the prevalent official corruption, aimlessness, lawlessness and loss of socio-economic bearing at the presidency cease. This action is what will better the living standards of Ghanaians but not the purposeless pursuit headed by Justice Kpegah and his mischievous assigns who are riled by Nana Akufo Addo's nobility, selflessness and incorruptibility.

Those who find it difficulty to understand why Nana got rid of William from his lengthy name should please draw near me always to drink from my overflowing fountain of wisdom. I have friends and schoolmates in higher service positions in the US. As soon as they got their PhD and attained such better job positions, they simply threw out their Christian names at the crack of the finger or at the flip of a switch. They want the whole world to know they are proud to be Africans and particularly Ghanaians. I hope those assigns doing the dirty work for Justice Kpegah and the NDC who are Doctorate degree holders will re-examine themselves in respect of their Christian names.

It is their right to continue to live in ignorance, mired in their parochial mindset of chasing the wind when indeed, they are expected to chase and resolve matters of practical benefit to Ghanaians.

I STILL REMIND ALL DISCERNING GHANAIANS AND THE NPP FAITHFUL TO REMAIN RESOLUTE AS DIRECTED BY GOD THROUGH KOFI BASOAH WHOSE DREAMS ALWAYS COME TO PASS EXACTLY AS DREAMT.

No matter how people may try to dissuade you from seeing Nana Akufo Addo as he is, do not yield in to their dirty propaganda. Let them continue digging in search of faults about Nana Akufo Addo; he will still remain that faultless incorruptible person all sensible Ghanaians know of.
