Why The NPP Minority Caucus Showed Red Card

To Mills In Parliament – Part 2

We Have a proverb that says, “if you do good to a snake, it will thank you by biting you to death” 2) If you do good to a frog too, it will thank you by giving you its dirty skin. In politics, if you put a uniform on a goat, it will behave strangely because it has never worn a uniform before in its life, but for tribal politics, some of these NPP members in Parliament would never have become Members of Parliament at all until they die. When President Rawlings handed over peacefully to Mr. J.A. Kufuor in January, 2001 all Hell broke loose in Ghana and it was as if Rawlings was rather overthrown by a Military Coup de’tat. Every NDC policy or cabinet decision had been made the subject of Criminal Investigation, with Ex-Ministers of the Rawlings regime being summoned before the Police and other Investigation officers to account for their manner of implementation of decisions or to explain government policies which the investigators themselves Did Not Even Understand but it was a tall order from the then Prez. J.A. Kufuor, the grave digger who dug out the skeletons of former Military officers executed by firing squad on June 4, 1979 under an AFRC decree for destroying Ghana and looting State Coffers. Ex-Prez. Kufuor did that in order to destroy the NDC and all that it stood and still stand for. Therefore, whatever information, clarification or explanation the NDC Ex-Ministers gave, was of no interest to those investigators. Their main interests was, how to distort the information and plant them in their media in a manner calculated to destroy the NDC as a party and the individuals involved – period, that is J. A. Kufuor, the so-called gentle giant who became Ghana’s President by mistake for you. Soon after the hand over of power to J.A. Kufuor in 2001, the NPP targeted The NDC and its functionaries for vilification and harassment. Through public announcements, the then New Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hackman Owusu Agyeman ordered all former Ministers under the Rawlings regime to surrender their passports immediately, as if they were about to flee the country.

EXIT PERMITS

Even though there is no requirement for an exit permit before travelling out of Ghana, all major exit points of the country were given a SECRET LIST of NDC officials by the NPP government on the orders of Mr. J.A. Kufuor, and those NDC officials were stopped from travelling outside Ghana. So Mr. President, the NPP Government officials did worse things to NDC members but since you are a man of God, you said, let it be and we obeyed you. Today, 2012 their members of Parliament are showing you Red Cards for abysmal performance during the past 3 years. Why? They are so ungrateful like the snake that I mentioned earlier in my first paragraph, so they want to bite you to death. Mr. Ato Ahwoi, a leading member of the NDC was invited by the BNI to answer questions about his legitimate business dealings with Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club – he was subsequently sent to court by Kufuor’s NPP government for no offence committed, yet on assumption of office, Prez. Mills told all leading members of the NDC and its Cadres to let it be, and so it was. Why won’t they give you Red Cards? – It is because they don’t respect you one bit. For me, I believe in the law of Kharma, if you Hit me, I will Hit back because too much leniency can cause a heart attack on so many people. Writing on a daily basis with the full backing of the NPP government the Media Wing of the NPP led by Kweku Baako Jnr. had sworn to strip Rawlings naked though defamatory publications all in the name of democracy and true to his words, he went over drive with wild allegations of corruption against Rawlings, several smear campaigns and contorted lies. Kweku Baako travelled to every length and breadth of the world to expose alleged stolen monies that have been saved in foreign Banks by Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings but he returned with Empty Hands – He used the tax payers money on the instructions of Ex-Prez. Kufuor for these useless trips. Have they not deceived Ghanaians by causing financial loss to the State for 8 good years? How about that? Now, Kweku Baako should undertake the same trip outside Ghana and find out the amount of money stuffed in foreign banks by Ex-Prez. J. A. Kufuor, his best friend – He will be shocked to return with two planes full of raw cash from Europe.

DCE’S WHO WORKED UNDER RAWLINGS

All NDC Municipal and District Chief Executives were tagged as corrupt people as well as NDC Ministers of State and were subjected to prolonged investigations and harassments. They were all DENIED their end – of – service benefits and subjected to Forensic Audit nationwide in order to create the public impression that they were all corrupt. Even though, these DCE’s were all exonerated on the basis of the audit reports – they were denied their end of service benefits. They were denied their end of service benefits. The NPP government would have rushed to release the details of the forensic Audit of the NDC DCE’S if they were found to be corrupt, but when they were cleared the NPP refused to inform Ghanaians. It was President Mills who took over from Mr. J.A. Kufuor and ensured that the NDC DCE’S and Ministers of State who worked under Former President Rawlings were then paid their End-of – Service benefits which remained there for 8 good years. Yet, when Prez. Mills took over from J.A. Kufuor, he first asked NPP DCE’S to remain in office until he appoint new NDC DCE’S – after which he thanked them and paid their end-of-service benefits promptly to them – This is the vast difference between the NDC and NPP – So why won’t the NPP Minority Caucus show Mills a Red Card, they had to do it as a reward to Mills for not investigating their gargantuan crimes of gigantic proportions against the people of Ghana. If the NDC had not won the 2008 general elections, there was no way that the vicious tribal government of the NPP would have paid the End-of-service benefits to the NDC DCE’S at all in this country, because the NPP believes falsely that Ghana belong to them more than any other Political Party or tribe. I am however very, very happy that the NPP Minority Caucus In Parliament have started wearing Red and Black clothes in Parliament and rehearsing with Red Cards in order to properly mourn Nana Akuffo Addo on his final political death bed when he is thrashed on December, 7, 2012 and those over confident NPP members must also rush for Nylon ropes to hang themselves when Nana Akuffo Addo has been shown a gargantuan Red Card by Ghanaians led by NDC members this year – BUT ON CONDITION THAT THE NDC remain United by Hook or Crook – otherwise this can never happen. If the NDC fails to Unite, we shall re-act peacefully from the grassroots by given Prez. Mills – a Hung Parliament in protest because some of the NDC Parliamentary Candidates are arrogant, greedy and very disrespectful – They did not want to accept the fact that without the support of the people – they are nothing – Red Cards awaits them if they refuse to change because if some appointees have become so powerful – who gave them the power for them to behave as demi-gods or some powerful people? Man! Is it not the same people you do not respect? Coming events cast their shadows, so what is coming is coming and what will happen will happen. Is any body listening? I am done.

Aluta Continua! Jaanbie Iwaii.
