Why did the traders visit Nana Addo?

Thu, 9 May 2013 Source: Allotey, Henry Kpakpo

When Nana Oye Lithur, the Minister in charge of Social Protection visited the Kantamanto market to commensurate with the fire victims, we were told that the traders insulted her and became very hostile to her. They screamed and chanted anti government slogans and later rioted against the state.

Then in the cover of darkness, these apparent tribalist traders visited an opposition leader Nana Akuffo Addo to brief him of what happened in the market. They subsequently swore not to allow the government to re-construct the market because the land was leased to them by the Ghana Railway Corporation.

Now i ask: in what capacity did these traders visit Nana Addo? As what? An opposition party leader? What is the locus standing of Akuffo Addo in the N.P.P? Is Akuffo Addo different from Paa Kwesi Nduom, Hassan Ayariga or Jacob Osei Yeboah who were all former Presidential candidates? What possibly can Akuffo Addo do for them? Can he order the government to perform any specific action? What power does he wield? Oh lawd! Akuffo Addo is truly pathetic!

The arrogance of this man and his inordinate ambition to be president at all cost is overriding his sense of reasoning and turning him into a power drunk zombie. Nana Addo in his dreams think he is president hence can perform all functions reserved for a head of state. If nobody is willing to wake him up from his drug induced stupor, let me at least try.

Nana Addo, you are not the president of Ghana! You have no power to effect any policy change, you have no power to help anybody, and you have absolutely no power to address the concerns of any Ghanaian group! You are just a nobody clutching at straws to salvage your sunken image. If you have any shred of hope in becoming a president because of your slanted law suit at the Supreme Court, kindly think and think again! You will never, ever become the president of Ghana! Ghana will rather burn than see an inordinate ambitious old man like you become president!

You need to wake up and face reality. Ghanaians overwhelmingly elected his Excellency President John Dramani Mahama as the president of Ghana and there is absolutely nothing, I repeat anything you and your cronies can do about that. You can pretend and convince your pseudo Asante-Akyem cabal to see you as their tribal leader but it wouldn't work. In John Mahama we have a leader who will take us to the promise land. Deal with it and wake up from your drug induce slumber!

To the misguided traders who see Akuffo Addo as a parallel president, i have news for them. Sorry fools, Akuffo Addo cannot help you! He is too engrossed in his attempt to use the backdoor to the presidency than see to your obroni wawu needs! You have wasted your time visiting a dying horse and we live to see whether Akuffo Addo can help you in your battle with the government over the Kantamanto lands. You think you can win??? Just a hint: Who owns Ghana Railways Company? Ever head of the agency theory? I don't think so! Afterall you are too dumb to sell first hand clothing so you must do with obroni wawu which is for second class citizens.
