"The New Patriotic Party (NPP’s) National Executive Committee (NEC) has unanimously voted to suspend its National Chairman Paul Afoko indefinitely".

(See http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/Paul-Afoko-suspended-as-NPP-Chairman-389503).

I read about the rumpus at the NPP's national headquarters this morning and the press statement issued by Kwabena Agyepong, General Secretary, and laughed out loud!!

The very people accusing Afoko of whatever offence there might be ended up being those who sat at today's meeting to carry out the "coup d’état" against him (as Dr. Wereko Brobby has described it). They happened to be both members of the NEC and Disciplinary Committee. How inconceivable!!

So, folks, as these empty braggarts turn the dagger on each other's throat, what else can I do but observe them and comment on their political immaturity?

As I keep saying, these NPP people aren't politicians worth entrusting Ghana's destiny to. In the first place, they don't know how to do politics to win the hearts of the electorate. Having intensified their campaign of lies, intimidation, and scare-mongering (in terms of violence), they are only setting the stage for another humiliation at the polls.

Now that they have confirmed that they cannot unite for a common purpose, who will go along with them?

Unfortunately, they are deceiving themselves that the challenges facing the Mahama administration---which Ghanaians are complaining about---will translate into votes for them at Election 2016. Oh, how I pity them!!

And here is the shocking part of everything: "Mr. Paul Afoko was recently criticized for making public comments on the party’s finances, a practice against laid down rules".

So, if Afoko saw malpractices regarding FINANCES, shouldn't he react? Should he keep quiet for the looting to go on?

Folks, do you see how these NPP people are? While their shrimp Akufo-Addo is praising himself as not being corrupt or is incorruptible, those he has helped put in charge of the party are stealing the party's funds, which Akufo-Addo knows of but isn't acting to tackle.

Afoko won't tolerate that thievery and has bared it all. Should that be an offence for which he is being disgraced this way? How will Akufo-Addo do things to safeguard Ghana's finances if ever he becomes the President of the country? Close his eyes to thievery? Some character!!

I shall return…
