Women a true definition of completion

Tue, 8 Mar 2016 Source: George K. Antwi

How possible can the world be in order without the deliberate involvement of women? God knew it during creation that the world couldn’t be a better place without women. In fact, Adam upon all his first-hand wisdom could not rightly undertake his assignment without a woman.

Indeed, it is only when the two dwell together that they can be a complete whole. Women make men complete; they actually do the work for men to take the applause. We have always tried to relegate them to the background, but their exploits have been evident. The likes of H.E. Ellen Johnson Serleaf, Angela Merkel, Dilma Vana Rousseff, among others clearly postulate that truly women have arrived.

Inadvertently it is socio-economically unreasonable if we fail to actively and consciously involve a whopping 51% of the world's population in the leadership and governance of the world. Women forms half of the world's most valuable human resource require for building any strong nation or institution. Therefore, the stereotype is unjustifiable; the discrimination is unrewarding and unhealthy towards National development. The 21st-century women have clearly justified their inclusion in the top management positions at all levels. They have indeed excelled in the world of business, showbiz, Sports, media, technology, Arts, entrepreneurship etc.

Unarguably, the world has experience too much greed, and corruption at the hands of men. However, it is the women that suffers the worst of the consequences of such. Hence they need to be heard, they need to be duly consulted.

Someone may argue why did they first eat the forbidden fruit to cause man to sin. Yes, because they are not risk averse, they always need a reason to take initiative and when they do they go the extra mile to make the work done. Women have an unparallel level of ambidexterity. This is because women are able to succinctly combine the management of the home (men and children) and their official duties. Truly the world can not be complete without the inclusion of women.

On this special day of International Women's Day I on behalf of the entire Team of YOUTH FOR PEACE CAMPAIGN want to celebrate all Women for their invaluable contribution towards the overall development of the world. Indeed, it is of truth that we can not afford to understimate the invaluable contributions of half of the world's population in the Peace Building discourse who are worst affected during Conflict and wars. Women are the majority therefore, their voices must be the Loudest.

As propagators of Peace and national unity, YOUTH FOR PEACE CAMPAIGN is calling on all Young women who believe in the Peace of Ghana to join us to collectively sing the Peace song.

We believe in women!

We believe in Peace

Long Live Feminism. Long Live Ghana!
