You Are Rich With Akan Name, You Are A drug Dealer

Fri, 25 Feb 2011 Source: Sarpong, Justice

You are “a nobody” if not for drug trafficking, that is the take of Alhaji

Bature on how Kennedy Agyapong became rich.

"Rambling on, Bature said that he knew the MP’s mother way back in the 70’s and

that she was selling plastic wares at Maamobi market, a suburb of Accra, and

that during those times he bought ‘buta’, a plastic water receptacle, which had

a defect, but when he returned it to the MP’s mother, she failed to refund him

his money.

Alhaji Bature said among others, that the MP was a known cocaine dealer whose

couriers could be found at Spintex and Nima, both suburbs of Accra.

He maintained that the MP’s sister and husband were all cocaine dealers, and it

was from drug money that they set up a petrol filling station in Madina, among

other properties, including a hotel."

I am not holding court for Kennedy Agyapong for going ballistic and insulting

Northerners with his PEPENI and crack heels diatribe. I don't have any sympathy

for Alhaji Bature and would have praised Kennedy Agyepong if he had directed his

insults to Bature alone instead of going bonkers and insulting all Northereners

because blabbermouth 'kaaji kaaji' Bature,a self ascribed 'well known'

Journalist should learn how to behave going from one radio station to another

tarnishing the image of People he wished to have been.

What we have to realise is that, Bature started this nonsense accusing Kennedy

Agyepong and his family members of being drug dealers without providing a

scientilla of evidence to back his prevarications. He Agyapong has every right

to defend his family's honor. Bature is a low life who accepted a used Toyota

RAV4 from the Mills NDC administration to tarnish the image of NPPians, he

deserves no sympathy.

It is now fashionable among non-Akans, especially the Ewes to accuse anybody

who is rich with Akan name of being a drug dealer, how did we end up in this

mess? Even `Asantehene has not escaped the hate mongers scapel. Asantehene

bought a mansion in London for 5 million dollars and Asanti haters attributed it

to cocaine money when this King earns enough royalties from properties in

Ashanti region and beyond its borders to pay for this house.

The reputation of rich Akans, especially Asantis are being destroyed by jealous

people who always attribute the success of these people through thimblerig or

drug deals. The sockdolager by Kennedy Agyepong to Alhaji Bature was in order

because he has every right to defend himself and his family's reputation.

As an Asanti, it's very irritating when other people drug dealings are put at

the footsteps of our doors. Eric Amoateng is busted for dealing drugs in USA and

Asantis were carved like thanksgiving turkey at the dinning table when Amoateng

is a Bono from Nkoranza. Asantis did not even escape from NDC drug courier

Benneh's transgressions in Switzerland, when Benneh is a Bono from Berekum.

Do we have Asanti drug dealers? 'Damnnn' sure have some drug dealers from the

Asanti tribe but tell me what tribe in Ghana is immuned from the drug trade. We

have Northerners, Gas, Ewes, Akyems, Nzemas, Kwahus, Bonos and every tribe in

Ghana engaged in this drug business.

Kennedy Agyepong, you might not like the guy but at least he is doing his best

employing hundreds of people at his hotel, telecommunication, petrol station and

farm enterprises something Bature can't match. Bature's ranting is tinged with

jealousy.

The government of Ghana cannot solve the unemployment situation in our country

by itself but if we are going to accuse Ghanaians who have the capital to set up

companies to ease our unemployment problems as drug dealers, then we have a long

way to go.
