You are Pulling us down Mr. Rawlings

Life begins somewhere and gets to the peak and start falling again. This is normal and it is not reversible. Everybody has a time to shine and later forgotten. It is the truth about life.

Nobody a lone can make it all, others help to get to that success. I wish I personally will meet with Jerry John Rawlings the man I admire so much to advise him. Once the time is gone there is nothing one can do about. You had achieved so much and every Ghanaian is aware of your worth and why won’t you keep it the way it is. Remember when satan attacked the human kingdom he did that through the woman. Madam Konadu is your wife, you control her you can counsel her that your time has passed it is enough to protect what you have achieved. There is a saying in Ewe which literally means that “ if you don’t want the droplet of soup under the spoon to drop, the one in the spoon rather poured out”. Mr. Bokor has said a whole lot already he is so much concerned just like every well meaning Ghanaian.

I remembered the day President Mills picked up his nomination. What I watched on GTV that day was very painful. It had demonstrated the highest level of ungratefulness by the Mills lead NDC. I even called my colleague who happened to be the MP for Ketu South to caution them. I mentioned the devastating effect it will have on Mill’s next election. Nonetheless it is a choice in life to be thankful. Some appreciate others contribution to their success but others do not. If we look at the bible as our guide, appreciation comes from God almighty in several forms and long life is one of them. The lizard that fell from the high Iroko trees says he will praise himself if nobody praises him. Please Rawlings don’t be that because you have others praising you. If I were you, since your people did not show appreciation I will just keep quiet and watch how things go. I will not pull down the party I struggle to form with others. There is no president who will be there forever, Mills will also eventually go perhaps the next person will take your ideas.

There is one thing worth mentioning, President Mills has several times declared his stand as a Christian where the most valued word in that society is forgiveness. Everybody is aware how the previous government mismanaged the economy and amass so much worth. Know very well that a good Christian will not revenge. President Mills won’t do such a thing. You had seen some qualities in him as a person so you admired him above all at that time and this is the kind of person he is.

H e has achieved a lot and also worth praising just like you did. Look at the peace we have over the period! See the influx of investors into our country. Success has not only a single root, it might be variable sometimes. Former president Kuffour had been noted with several allegations of corruption but he was very tolerant and peaceful. I admired him so much with his smiles. Ghana is becoming a middle income country started by Kwame Nkrumah, followed by you , then John Kufour and Mills is following. The international community recognise your importance and they have not ignored you. They have given you several important assignments. What do you want again!
